Hello :) I just started playing the game and I have to say it's amazing, addictive to the max! So I have a question: What's the fastest way to stabilize your financial situation so that the money doesn't run out quickly?
The FASTEST way to stabilize your financial situation so that the money doesn't run out quickly?
(Not "BEST" way, not even fastest way to do it the "normal way" the current public game-version allows or something like that.) Considering the way you set your question I tend to think you might have been left unanswered.

IMO the fastest way to do what you asked, is to edit the game mechanics along your own tastes before you start the game.
Unfortunately not all folks like hacking HTML, so some little slower ways might turn useful as well. Download ready-made mod (there is at least one quite excellent one to be found here in this thread, I think), use console commands, or perhaps Online Save Editor.

There is absolutely no need to hack actually. A simple refresh (edit:in the browser) for the slaves going into quick sell will suffice for those, who are just looking for more money early on.

1.-Buld a decent el cheapo combat team. Anselm + Loren + Rifle Savant + Jack Peasant can do the trick at day 1. Try that all of them (and you) have a rifle and a wiping cane ASAP. Be sure that you have ammo and ropes. A bit later you can add Rebeca and send Rifle savant to the bench

2.- Do the daily bounty in the town hall and start cleaning the map of ugly Red mushrooms. Avoid at start any one who say "Space Marine" or "Guard" unless you have an overhelming numerically superiority. Capture as much slaves as possible and sell them

3.- Do this until you get access to Crystal City. Go to the bank, ask for a loan (25.000) and hire the accountant. With this 24.000 (25.000 minus 1000 to the accountant) plus your savings you should be able get 35k $ and build a workshop in your yard.

4.- Put people to work on the workshop. The stat for the foreman post it´s intelligence, the stat for the workers post it´s discipline. You can put a foreman and 7 workers. Fill it. Build weapons and sell them on the market. At this stage, usually the best ones are, depending of the supply status, either Spears or knives.

And that´s all. Your very basic workshop with a a scrambled crew should be able to build 70-80 knives a day. That, discounting the cost of raw materials it´s 3000$+ of profit per day. And now you can start to play without fear to bankrupt

Too slow and inefficient to be the fastest way to stabilize financial situation. So no cigar, but how about a cup of coffee or perhaps some tea? :coffee: :)

It isnt slow at all and available from day 1 when one goes out and captures stuff. It doesnt require specific standing, works on every single captured slave (except the corpses) and is stress free :D

AlexWolfJEDYNY quite clearly asked: " What's the fastest way to stabilize your financial situation so that the money doesn't run out quickly? "
Even us old folks should be able to literally pay attention to what actually is asked in the first place, methinks. :geek:

You listed all kinds of hacks, mods, game settings etc which I replied to, not his original post.

This is a simple refresh of the browser at sell time of any captured slave. Cant be simpler or faster and can easily be reduced to only be used when times are dire. In other words it was the missing part in your list which doesnt require a rocket science brain nor fiddling with any code at all.

So you didn't pay attention to his original post, just wanted to "quibble" with my effort to give an honest answer. OK...

Yeah. Seems accurate.

A simple refresh of the browser definitely wasn't missing from "my list" and it sure doesn't stabilize financial situation. Not even close. I know that and you know it probably even better, so I suggest we leave this topic and return to the game.

Genuine question, how much content are there for the npcs? I kinda dislike management games where almost every npc has the same sex dialogue/scenes. Do the unique slave npc's have unique dialogue/scenes or do they all basically behave the same as the randomly generated ones once you've enslaved them? Do the unique slaves interact with each other?

I don't really wanna play another free cities tbh.
They have unique sex renders. Not animated and some of them have more than others. They have unique dialogues and anecdotes but there's not a limitless amount of those so they will cycle through those anecdotes and dialogues quickly enough if you keep asking.

The sex scene descriptions too will cycle. There's a limited series of paragraphs to describe sex scenes and you will see them repeat a bit.

There's a lot of tiny dialogue changes. For example, a girl will add "little" or "young" to refer to her body in seducing talks with you, sometimes including your age too as they will acknowledge how much older you are, starting at 40+ yo MC). The receptionists at Golden Dragon will address you as Doctor if you pick the Expert Doctor start iirc, or Professor for the Academy. Your cock size if you pick the well-hung trait will also affect some dialogue by adding a couple of words or an extra sentence like if the girl is hesitant about sex, that's one of the things she can brought up. If you have Mountain Man, when you hire Ayden there's some extra added fluff about you matching his stature. If you bring Lovisa naked to see Tori for the first time, she will ask why Lovisa is naked. The normal dialogue will also have minor changes depending on Lovisa's affection, happiness, and if she is married. Lovisa and Tori's parents too, first meeting, will comment/talk depending on their daughters' well-being. Bring Tori as follower when doing Lovisa's quest will yield additional Tori dialogues during the course of the quest. Doing prowlers 3 with Nicole as follower will have her also giving additional dialogues. Etc.

There's a lot of little things, I cannot describe them all. There's description changes too. The sex descriptions of her mastery of it can change depending on your girls' vag/oral/anal xp if that's the act you are doing, your cock size will also be included in the description so mentions of a cock can instead be "massive cock", their body size. If NPC's status is Servant, it will say "your servant" instead of "your slave" (for the most part, some are still not updated). For wives, it will say "your wife".

And then there are times when it does not. Like Caitlin sometimes still referring to herself as a slave even though you married her or still calls you Master after sex even when you tell her to call you another way (in my case, Husband since it's the default for a wife and I never bothered changing it).

I have not played Free Cities so I cannot make a proper comparison.
Am I reading this correctly or are you saying the options are limited to not enslaving her and making her a ruler or making her a slave for someone else? I don't like these choices lol. I'd much rather take over myself and then just... keeping her for myself?
After 14 days, you can bring Chancellor Aria home with you. Her ruling style depends on how you build her stats, specifically Corruption. At 50+, she won't overturn slavery and she will enact pro-slavery and cruel punishments.

You cannot be Chancellor yourself currently. When I suggested Chancellor MC that is forcefully required to spend 9am to 5pm in the Chancellor's office attending the passing laws or approving maintenance of this road or that building in pre-assigned randomized pop-ups and doing mind-numbing work, the immediate counter was the people asking for Chancellor MC saying no they just want the title and have Aria do all the work anyway. Shrug.

I´m Not sure if it´s a bug or a feature. Late in the game, if you bring slaves at fort Serra (not sure at what point, I checked at Fort Serra power value 440, sure it´s quite a bit early also) fort Serra Power don´t improve one point per soldier. I dump the bag of a rabble and I need to dump 10 slaves to get ,not sure if one or two, points increase, and I dump some more quality stuff and get an increase of +1 per two soldiers. But if I send soldiers from home, I get a +1 increase per each one that I send.

And also, If you go to the city hall and send men from Fort Serra, sending them 1 by 1 gives you 150 points per man. If you send a group of 10 that will give you only 700 points, and if you send a bunch of 25 you get only 1000 points, at only 40 per man.

25 men and 25 clicks, 3750 points. 25 men and one click 1000 points. I believe that Grimdark should seek for professional medical help with his weird fetish of rewarding mouseclicking. :p ( else he is a major shareholder in the mouse´s business...)

Would be good to have some other, adequate ways for removing advocate trait from npcs. Currently the only way to do so is to buy like 200 elixirs which you can't buy in bulk, also they are not cheap. And you can't automate the process nor can't make slave chug all elixirs at once. All steps are one by one. Indeed, some mouseclicking fetish and getting carpal tunnel syndrome speedrun :HideThePain:
Although, the wiki says this trait isn't that bad as it appears in game

You need around 10k+ swords for Aria's rebellion and you can only make 10 at a time :HideThePain:

Yeah that bug was reported a few days ago so there's a fix for it in 0838. :) I'll add a small saturation penalty based on the number of guards but it won't be near as penalizing as the current (unintentional) one.

0838 Public ETA: 1-2 weeks.

After that I'll start working on threesomes.
Actually that feature had been posted a long time ago already (but the post might have been removed at one point - and it was an answer to one of Clemency's posts asking about some code). And the current code means, unlimited number of trainable guards as long as the skills of the trainees are low enough and the captain skill is high enough.

Converted to aesir from two moons and got property tax increased by 10 dollars. So it was a lie about relieving from tax, I just payed a little bit less? My guy had maximum devotion btw

Anyone know if the devs have plans to complete the image sets for the unique women who have incomplete sets? Like the ex arena champion or Kate Veeron? Also, a lot of people are missing pregnancy portraits, which is kind of awkward as you have to look at the headless placeholder one for weeks.

Hey everyone! I'm back to try out this game again. Noticed that I have currently active 8 npcs (incl followers) but I can't find the other npcs I've hired/enslaved. Any idea? I've messed around with the UI but nothing. :-/
