I would agree that those events probably shouldn't fire if she's the MC's wife. Infidelity is definitely an issue. But otherwise, corruption equates to "sexuality", so if she's not your slave or wife, it makes sense for a high corruption Aria who's the chancellor to sleep around since you don't "own" her at that point. Personally, I would say if you don't want that, keeping her corruption low would be the way to go

I see your point but I disagree. She is still dependent on the MC to help make the republic work and there is a reason she will still live at the manor.
Hell even free and married she stills calls my MC "master" from time to time.
I think her whole system should be iterated on. I can see why a purely self-interested MC might tell her to do whatever it takes to see them get ahead thus authorizing and encouraging her to use her sexuality for their benefit.
Same way you can with any of your other girls on a corruption playthrough but it should be optional IMO.

Yeah I'm not sure if it's a probem per se, but it's definitely true that the idea of 'corruption' has changed as the game has developed. In the code, the name is still "likessadist", so it was probably at some point intended to work more like the oral/pussy/anal preference, except for general sadistic/painful activities.

If I were redesigning the game from the ground up... well, I wouldn't, because the game is so large that it would be a massive undertaking lol. But if I were, I would probably separate out general libido/sexuality from liking sadistic stuff. I'd also probably separate out general willpower from obedience to the player in specific.

I agree but I don't think the corruption stat is really just a "sexuality" checker. Like you said it also indicates kinkiness and BDSM and general depravity.
I've noticed the girls seem more sexual as they gain experience or stats in the various sexual areas. I'm on a purity run and several of the girls have only been with my MC but they have become increasingly enthusiastic about sex in general as their stats have increased and thats at 0 corruption.
So I don't think corruption=sexuality. I think it equals well corruption lol.

Yeah I'm really just theory crafting here. I'm not opposed to having some way for the MC to tell Aria to keep it in her pants for gameplay/roleplay/self-insert preferences

Judging from how those events aren't firing since my Aria has the willpower of a doorknob and the corruption of a streetwalker, I actually like the headcanon that her being kept at the player's household prevents others from putting their hands on her (Assuming I'm not sending her out as a prostitute, but that would be a separate deal) since in my playthrough there wouldn't be any resistance, unless GD decides to implement a loyalty stat to separate your slaves throwing themselves at you and turbowhoring the general public. I do think it would make sense for a special option to more or less tell Aria to whore herself out in-office to benefit her position or yours, marital status or otherwise, since otherwise they're just end-of-day flavor text.

The Secret Garden quest tells me to send a broken or affectionate slave to the bookstore. So I assigned an "undying"ly affectionate slave to the bookstore but nothing happened.

I searched this thread and there were more people with the same problem. So far the answer they received was "It's WIP". But I read reports that there is supposed to be a bar appearing that the slave has to fill? That doesnt happen for me. Here is my guess: I believe it just doesnt work with affectionate slaves. Only broken slaves (<9 will) advance the quest. Unfortunately I dont have one at hand to test this.

i just tried it on 084 right now on Undying 70 Willpower , works for me , do u have 50+ Intelligence as well?

Open the journal, there should be a progress bar for the quest. Check it the next day to see if it moved. If not you'll need to check the stats of the girl to see what you're missing. Like j01ntr0l1a said, you also need decent INT.
Or you could go grab Juno, I think she advances the progress bar regardless of her stats
If there's no progress bar at all, make sure you're running version 0.8.4.0 of the game

Assuming you don't plan on selling them, are there any reason to not free a slave once you fully train them? There seems to be several debuffs to having slaves in roles, so it would at least appear that in order to maximize the benefit to your household, you should have them be unpaid servants instead?

I just sent juno in to do the job I think she had ~60 discipline 50+ corruption basically no willpower and undying affection. It worked out for me, I'm just not sure how to proceed afterwards.

In a way. The two most powerful unique melee weapons though are heavily gated behind requirements. So for the most part you are using greatswords and greataxes, which are amazing and they will outperform most ranged weapons available to you at single target dps. The three cybercannons scattered around for you to stumble into/buy have limited ammo availability and the two miniguns are from Aria's second grand questline, which you are not yet in.

Off the top of my head I remember the wiki stating something about slaves being less effective at staff workshops, and in game accountants and heralds definitely are stated as being affected

Back-up your game's start_game.html, replace it with this one, create the character, do the "inheritance" and "last relative" quest, switch out for the start_game.html which you've back-upped.

And you're all set, alternatively, if all you seek is the experience points, you can use console.

Here are some more useful commands:

I have no info whatsoever about slaves being less effective at workshops, but Herald and Accountant do have some penalties for being a slave. Those are two individual jobs, however, you can't assign more than 1 person to each job.

Anyway, quest also needs 50+ Int, that's probably why you see no progress. Just send Juno if you have her.
