Does anyone know how many occult points you can normally get? Like, do you need to take occultist in character creation to reach the 75+ bracket for the achievement? The wiki's pretty sparse on occult/incantation info...

I finished my first playthrough and now I want a challenge so I plan on doing a rise from ashes start on grimdark difficulty with dying world, Ironman, dengi invasion on.
When I am making my character I plan to not use any skill classes my main question is if I will miss out on any content like how expert slaver gives adora?

Adora can be chosen separately as a trait as well, and if not acquired at character creation, she will be at Crystal Heights.
As far as skill classes are concerned, I think the only real thing you can miss out on is not unlocking the extra vendor job at the weapon store, which requires at least 2 levels in the soldier skill class.
He is a unique NPC and has fairly good combat stats, strength in particular, also with Brawler (IIRC) trait guaranteed.
No effect on any events or storylines, he doesn't have a character quest even, that I'm aware of.
I do always catch him because you know, gotta catch 'em all.
oh man if there was a Slave Codex (PokeDex) or something where I could just register (and maybe request back?) some of these uniques I'd be much more likely to sell them

I did take the occultist character, but on the long run you get enough points by either following the storyline or collecting items or reading books.
I my opinion it is much more important to be an atheist, because the refill of willpower is much easier.

Can someone explain me how is Smelther a worthy investment? i currently make 2.6k both copper and iron ore per day, which sell for 2$ a piece, so 5.2k$. with smelter i make 265 copper and steel which sell for 8$, so 2k$. I'm confused. I paid 150k to make less money?

There is a market system, where goods costs/sell for more if they are scarce.
