Because IIRC willingness turn to indifferent at 40 corruption, but the requirement to assign to the job is actually 50.

Check on any other (female) slave that's under 40 corruption, that page will read the correct requirements, which is 50 corruption.

The text disappears at 40 corruption though, I suppose it was changed at some point or something, slight inconsistency.

yeah with 50 level its works well, that situation should be fixed with that on 40-49 coruption lvl information gone like everything was ok

Yes probably severance happened because of this plague. But if you ask me why raana or other colonies(if there is any) did not reopen gates and unite humanity reason of this explains by "Milou Skye(The spaceship pilot)" (Dont worry i wont give you spoiler).

Thanks for the consideration! I got to the whole "eldritch monster waiting beyond the stargate" bit. But I thought there was an eldritch monster lurking beneath Raana's seas? All the focus seems to be on Cydikar and Adem and these monsters lurking below the planet's surface, plus of course the talk about the advanced civilization that used to be here.

Is Raana then the homeworld of the stargate-builders? And how does the stargates shutting down relate to a plague that's affecting other planets?

Thanks for the consideration! I got to the whole "eldritch monster waiting beyond the stargate" bit. But I thought there was an eldritch monster lurking beneath Raana's seas? All the focus seems to be on Cydikar and Adem and these monsters lurking below the planet's surface, plus of course the talk about the advanced civilization that used to be here.

Is Raana then the homeworld of the stargate-builders? And how does the stargates shutting down relate to a plague that's affecting other planets?

I don't know about anyone else, but I was (only very roughly) reminded of The Expanse, with the Protomolecule & the things waiting beyond the stargates.
Awesome show by the way - well worth watching - even if you don't bother with the story - at least watch a bit for the ship combat.

Advice on strong party, for combat?
I am melee. I always use Avril and Rebecca as shooters.
But best buddy Ansel rolled kinda bad this game. So I need 2 more party members. I always used to use Doyl, Ansel, Rebecca, Avril in previous plays. Doyl used to have solid hp and low salary which was nice. But nowadays he is so old so a bit unsure.
I prolly continue with Ansel for awhile but long term, some fights are super challenging, right?

Anyway, Im getting to the part where I want to grind stats up on party so I want to have as many long term members as possible so they can come along for the practice grind.

1. The scavenging part is pretty early game, and even if you dedicate an entiree household to scavenging they still woulndt bring enough to feed your workshop, you need either to buy it or set the orphanage to do things for you.
2. Eliminate factions dont come back.

How do you make the orphanage do anything? Is there a quest? As far as I can see, it's just a standard investment.

Also, on a side note, the wiki says donating food to the orphanage should increase Standing, but I don't believe that's the case considering I've dropped well over 200k into the place, and still have 47 standing (what you get from the upgrades).

There are some great and expensive mercs like Ayden Rhoades and Clea Vallas you can hire.

There's also plenty of excellent capturable NPCs like Cassius Bauer and Black Scorpion.

Also you can buy Aaron Kreuger at Kymanto who comes with a special Berserker skill. Makes him miss a lot early, but once you train him he's among the best.

Yea, I dont want the per day cost if I can avoid it. But then, lots of people seem to just include the expensive mercs as a given, so one of the reasons I asked.
And its not possible to train Ansel up to that level? Or some other story npc?

Their melee/ranged skill, sure.

But big part of NPC's HP actually comes from their body type, bigger body type means a lot more HP to withstand a lot more punishment.

Body type also affects their maximum cap for strength training, and Cassius for example has a ridiculously high strength and somewhat randomised stats, and therefore can start with above 200 strength.

Then there's the traits. Even if you now can train Warrior and Brawler, they take forever to train, and are simply not worth the effort to train.

Other traits (Crackshot, Ammo Pack, Ayden's, Clea's and Aaron's special traits) you can't obtain without cheating.
