LOL, you used the mod for v0.17 for game v0.12, that's why you get the error, get the right mod version for the right game version

weird, did you use the proper mod for your game version? not that your using the chapter 1 / remake mod for chapter 2? because i just loaded up version 0.20 of the game and the mod (D.S.Mod_v0.1.c_Maxslife-0.19-pc) works fine for me
If you placed the mod file correctly you should be able to see it being mentioned in the main menu when you start the game:

Regarding the updating of my mods I have to say that I'm trying to update as many as I can with the time that I have... I already updated the mod for the new version of Max's life and many more. I just restarted the game... I also had a bug where I couldn't get the rest of the story... sorry I can't help you, you should try in the main game post.
Nvm, think it's working just doesn't show on starting screen, was able to add money while on the pc it self.
134925_D.S.Mod_v0.1_Maxslife-0.12-pc doesn't seem to be working with the 0.12 game.
Mod doesn't appear on the starting screen, nothing shown on the mobile phone.
Tried out 0.21 and the cheat does work there, hope you can help with 0.12
