Awesome game we need more updates

It all went downhill for me after the 3rd chapter... I also noticed that from that point onwards the game didn't recognize my custom name, and started using default in the dialogues. It could've been glorious if the dev stayed true to the sinister undercurrent that permeated this VN up until the bland 4th chapter... I can see it reaching its conclusion as a full fledged horror title, where Marge transforms into the “devouring mother” and not just emotionally and psychologically, but literally consumes her son, eating his body parts in an erotic, lascivious feast... We could have also, just before the Jacob's assimilation into his mother, discovered that it was the same gruesome end that befell his own father. Oh well, that will remain my head cannon

FALSE.
Up until the last update it was showing as abandoned.
The updates are few and far between but the project is NOT ABANDONED.

For all intents and purposes... YES IT IS!
Susinak said NOBODY can tell you when(or if) an update would be. Not even him!
He also said he was starting another project and leaving this one for the foreseeable future. If he comes back to it within five years, I'll all but eat my hat.

OK then, you keep the faith dude.
He started another AVN which is also 'not abandoned'.
He used to pop in his discord every 2 months and say 'it's not abandoned', but had no previews or anything to show.
He hasn't even done that since June.

No sense in arguing the game is not abandoned when the Dev himself used his own words to do just that. Prior to doing so, the writer at the time PLEADED with him to continue development, just to have his words fall on deaf ears and his calls left unanswered for months.

To anyone who tries to say otherwise, this game is dead and buried. The dev hasn't posted any updates for almost a year and the discord chat has been in lockdown for months because all the backers kept asking him for updates (or even just signs of life) for either MMC or his new and as of yet unnamed project, and he pretty much just ran out of excuses for why there were no updates.
And this is after he pretty much already admitted that MMC was going on the backburner for the "new project", that has yet to see the light of day since its initial announcement. XD

I just finished the game.
In my opinion, the quality of the renders along with the animations were incredible. It had a good story, especially toward the end as the relationship began to intensify. It left me wanting more. This is what I want to see more of.
I'm very disappointed to read the developer abandoned it. I wish someone could continue on with this game as there is soo much potential to be had. Very frustrating.
