For me it's not the lesbian sex, that's fine if they're just fooling around but like the MC. In Harem games with the lesbian tag, I usually assume there will be a lesbian character who MC will never get action with because she's a lesbian (it's almost like a form of blueballing imo. Oh look a hot character design... wait she's a lesbian? insta turn off). I know the tag doesn't always mean that and it could just refer to girls just fooling around with no pretense behind it, which means the MC would get action as well.
Now this is the case only for Male Protag harem games for me. I usually just want to see boy/girl relationship in my harem games. But I have no problem playing a female centric yuri harem game, I've tried some. But I play them usually when I'm in the mood for them. Also, in yuri harem games you don't see devs add in guys to mess with the harem, people would understandably cause an outrage if that happened.
