It was a surprise twist that I didn't see coming. Yes, it could (maybe) vilify Minji more but as long as she is doing it to turn Nick/Nabi-ya into her idealized love interest, I'm fine with that. Dominant mistresses need loving too! What I am not a big fan of would be for her to go through all of this trouble just to push him into the arms of someone else. That type of story is more enjoyable for a bad protagonist, someone who deserves it or kind of does it to themselves. Not a perfect example but sort of like - Switching Gears to Dresses and Heels Part 6, a self-inflicted situation. And if a different Elaine wrote those stories... well... awkward.I liked the last episode of switching gears because at one point the man playing his sister looked like he was going to end any possible relationship until he opened his mouth about the damage Luciano was doing to the car's transmission which proves that "she" wasn't an airhead after all. So instead of getting out of Luciano's clutches (s)he is deeper into them. Up until then the story was a little contrived with a car mechanic dressing up as a girl to have a drive in a rare performance car, crashing said car because he didn't service the brakes properly, ending up in hospital where he ends up receiving Facial Feminisation Surgery after getting injured in the car crash. then of course when the bandages come of he's a cute looking girl with no bruising or scars. For K-pop, I'm a bit conflicted. I think having a language barrier does allow for some amount of "lost in communication". And it's perfectly reasonable that people would converse each other in their native tongue, and this gives us the opportunity for unaware parties to be involved in the transformation. But at the same time, by explicitly calling attention to it, it's super bizzare to me that someone seems so accepting that a person is trying to change their race. The original excuse, of being part of a disguise, in this context makes WAY more sense to me.

With that said, I wouldn't be surprised if the other girls are people that Minji has transformed.I'm hoping the story is still going in this direction, but what I would have liked to see is that each of the three girls has a different motivation to feminize Nick, with them not necessarily being fully aware of the goals of the other two, but the ultimate goal (Nick being feminized), aligning. For example, if it was that all 3 believed Nick was trying to disguise himself, but one girl finds a feminized/sissified man sexually arousing, one thinks Nick would help their odds as an Idol Group, and one was actually getting paid to do it by the gang (or whatever other reasons they might have of wanting to feminize Nick)... Meanwhile, Nick himself is commiting to the feminization because he does think his life is in danger... Then every character involved is actively pursuing their own goals, maximizing each character's agency. Really hoping the other two women won't end up as just passive accomplicies in Minji's plans.
I'll be happy has long as things stay somewhat realistic, unlike Aphrodite's Mirror which has been garbage since halfway through: Breast that are bigger than the characters body, and morphing into some weird agism fantasy, with the story in shambles and not making any sense.That said, what I'm looking forward to the most with K-pop (and hoping to see more of so far) are Nick crossdressing in more workout outfits and idol costumes. Lots of feminization stories jump really quickly to short mini skirts/dresses. Which are fine and of course I like them too. But I'm looking forward to more tight pants, booty shorts, and leggings, bustier and mesh tops. If we got anything close to Ahri's K/DA outfit (frankly any of them, although the black and white one is *chef's kiss*), I'd be very happy.

I don't see that it's far-fetched - some Caucasian people have gotten eyelid surgery to make themselves look Asian (although it's true it's not very convincing). I think I've mentioned it before, but race change as a fetish can be up my alley as long as it "commits" to what it's trying to be. If it's a part of a "degradation" story, then I'm fine with using stereotypes or racist caricature, because it's not meant to depict a "normal" or "positive" end result. Just like how bimbofication isn't meant to be representative of how blondes "should be". Conversely, if the change is well integrated into the story. For instance, it's meant to be part of the identity loss and really help emphasize how completely changed the person is, then I'm fine with it as well. I dunno about everyone else, but I don't get too hung up about how "realistic" stuff is in real world terms. I kind of separate it into magic, sci-fi and "erm, sorta real world". I don't have a problem with any of these. Personally I'm in it for the inner monologue of the character and how they react to (admittedly unrealistic, ridiculous) circumstances.That doesn't mean it should be in the story. I enjoy the storytelling, but ultimately I'm in it to get my dick hard. If the story is shitty and disjointed enough to give me a flop-on, then I'll drop out. I guess it all just comes down to what you expect from niche erotica. It's all an insane venn diagram of aligning kinks and finding what works.

I've made this rant before, so apologies for those that have already seen these talking points on the old forum.
For me, how distracting something is correlates to how much the story it into attention. For example, early fictionmania stories loved to talk about size 76ZZZ sized breasts and how walking in heels you should walk "toe-heel". It was silly nonsense that you could tell came from people who'd never bothered to do a google search or even have tried crossdressing themselves. To a similar extent, last few years I keep seeing sissification stories where it tries to justify how chastity is supposed to help hide a bulge in skin tight clothing. From first hand experience: No, it can't! Surprise surprise, you lock a hard, undeformable piece of plastic or metal around your ball sack: guess what's no longer flexible enough to tuck away?!
I get it: not everyone has the time, freedom, income, situation where they can actually experiment with what they're discussing. And I also totally get "rule of sexy". There should totally be breaks from reality to facilitate the erotic nature of the work. Of course in erotic fiction, men can get hard again immediately after cumming, everyone can coordinate their orgasms perfectly, and the plot seems to bend to get to the sex.
But my main gripe is the same one I apply to fantasy, scifi, or action movies. If you introduce something, you should be consistent about it. I don't care that it's not "realistic/physical possible" to dodge a bullet at super speed. But if you're gonna introduce that ability, then you damn well better not have that character get caught off guard by a regular human speed punch (or have a damn good justification for it). Or if you introduce a plot point, as an author, you're the one that decided to introduce that into continuity.
And if you do break from reality, it should be a conscious decision, not because you don't know how things actually work. Otherwise, to a person who does know how things do work, it can be distracting at best, and cringe at worst. In those instances, they would have been better off just skipping those details, rather than make it obvious that they have no idea what they're talking about (residual triggering from trying to correct Tokyo Bound, lol)
To be fair to MelissaN, most of my above complaints don't apply to her. Generally, it's the way she handles her characters and their motivations that dissapoint me. And not in the "I didn't find that sexy", as much as often the sexiness was imo sabotaged by missed opportunities. A (not) so temporary roomate has one of the (imo) hottest before and after transformations, but it ends with such a weird non-ending where Destiny just gets gaslit a bit more. Maybe it's just me, but I would have found it hotter if the story committed to an ending. Like if Destiny preferred men now and didn't care about getting back with Sara, or as a fuck you to Sara, Destiny admitted she liked being a woman and decided to tell Steve everything. Or as a fuck you to her family, Sara decided to re-seduce Destiny to screw over the brother she hates. I dunno, just something to show that outside of the physical progression, there was a point to this change.
