RPGM - Completed - Meltys Quest [v1.2r] [Happy Life]

Beautiful art, easy gameplay and nothing of those senseless deaths, when a defeat happens, rolls a scene of H, just sex sex sex ... like it has to be a porn game ... Congratulations! (It would be great to have some Devs take a look and understand what fun it is for the player ...)

An absolutely unexpected surprise of a lewd game. I didn't think Meltys Quest would be anywhere near as enjoyable as it turned out being purely because I'd seen it on Steam originally and high quality lewd games typically don't end up there. However, this one is worth checking out.

The lewd content itself is quite varied and I haven't come across a single scene I didn't like so far, although some fetishes like urination could've used an option to disable for some people. I kind of hoped the outfits would have a little more impact on how Meltys is seen by NPCs such as in a game like Salvation, but a few do comment on specific items of clothing. You do have to work up to more whorish clothing though, unlike other games where you can wear whatever whenever you want, this game uses a "slut level" as a clothing gate.

The gameplay is typical lewd RPG Maker fare but is far less frustrating and grindy than the average game made in the engine. Encounters are basic and not random, with options to attack and escape, and some moves can be learned by levelling a specific outfit up. Puzzles are basic, often just requiring you to press something for a path to open or obstacle to vansih, nothing incredibly cryptic or guide requiring. Dungeons typically last a few screens at best, so no time wasting mazes with annoying encounter rates.

Overall I'd say Meltys Quest is probably one of the best RPG Maker lewd games I've ever played, and is worth checking out if you're looking for something new to play. The lack of a challenge in the gameplay may be a downside for some, but if I wanted challenge (or artifical challenge with typical RPG Maker titles) I'd be playing a real game.

It is a great game with multiple endings (six in total). a lot of good content, a very great story and plenty of H-scenes/CG. It has a high re-playable factor. It is easy to play and understand. Very good translation from Japanese to English

I started with the feeling that i had played it before, but it quickly changed.
It is pretty fun, the visuals are really good for the genre though the scenes are a little all over the place, almost like they wanted to support as many fetishes as possible, but it also sorta worked.
The translation is simply amazing and carries the game several places it otherwise would get a little stale.
I am pretty sure i am going for seconds sometime.

Although the art isn't really my style, I got really into the game cause of how well it plays. Excelent world design, good amount of choice. I even replayed the game a few times to get different endings, and it's worth it.

This is a game I wouldn't expect myself to dedicate much time into at first glance, It just kinda seemed like every other Japanese H-Game made with RPGMaker, though after playing for a few minutes I couldn't turn away

For a porn game, the story is actually not bad at all. It seems the writer clearly understood some of the plot holes and filled those in with comedic breaks.

The player character is somewhat like most other female protagonists in games like these- she starts off somewhat shy about having sex, but by the end of the game she's fucking huge monsters as if it was just a normal thing. (You can choose to go the purist route, if you don't want to see good shit for some reason)

The art is fantastic, and clearly the authors spent lots of time on the little things, such as the 20+ different outfits the player can wear, each with different poses and dialogue for some characters. They even added extra artwork for each outfit if the player is pregnant! (Speaking of which, can become annoying later on in the game, so choose which monsters you want to bone wisely!)

All in all, one of the best H-Games I've played recently. Highly recommend to just about anyone (except the easily disturbed, some encounters in this game took me by surprise).

Awesome game, fantastic high quality artwork and generally good dialogue. Doesn't take itself too seriously. The game's mechanics are exceptionally good and the combat never gets boring or too ridiculous. The bosses are a great addition too. We need more games like Melty's Quest!

i rly liked that game, but its not very challengeing
but overall a super game. works fine all smooth and u don't struggle finding objektives. i wish more games would be like that. not 100% my style taste and content taste so just 4/5

I need to start with this: Don't avoid because of RPG maker as the engine, its still a great game.
Tldr; Translation is great, MC known as Melty is fun, storyline is decent enough, good as an RPG on its own, and the sex scenes are fantastic.

Why would I rate a rpg makger game 5 stars, well I will tell you point by point.

Translation: Translations make or break a game, and Melty's quest has some poor wording choice here or there, the game never has outright wrong info, clear consistant mistakes, and overall carries out well.

Main character: Melty is fun, she is basically the MC of "My first girlfriend is a gal" in terms of speech and overall view on life. She has different reactions for how the world changes depending on her slut level, and her personality works in all scenarios. She never breaks the tone of the game, even in the worst scenarios, and I appreciate that.

Story: For the most part, generic story. I can deal with that, and the surprise is cliche... but the way they tell that story, the setup, actually was done really well. At first I thought it was some translation errors, or some old storyline that wasn't revised, but some of the conflicting stories all tie together to make a decent enough story on its own.

Sex: 10/10, has some stuff I am not into, but you can actually sort of stay at you're own comfort level if you want (sign of a good game) and someone might like it, so critically it wasn't a deal breaker as a straight guy (aka no scat, guro, gay, or loli) and I think most can agree with that. They did a great job on the variety, the tone, none of it was the same sort of re-hashing, overall it is higher end for this genre of games.

Newgame+ : Always add a star to any rpg that has it (fucking never understood why not).

Virgin run: I like to also give a shoutout to the fact that you can beat this game as a virgin, and the storyline doesn't seem like it was a virgin run shoved into a normally hardcore ending.

Overall, this is a great game to check out, it respected my time when I wanted it to, and has some of the best scenes I have seen in some time.
