Appreciate the links, though that's not exactly at odds with what I thought - he ventured end of may....yet here we are. It'd be one thing if this was an established franchise, lagging on a large update full of late game forking with loads of variable paths. But this is still getting its feet under it, he needs to crank out a few events and be done with it.

If this sounds overly harsh to the dev or others - the patreon performance reflects this - a noticeably disappointing ratio to the amount of press it got initially (90 pages!). Obviously people think you have potential, the money is yours for the taking!

The developer's work on storytelling, writing, concept creation, character development, relationship building, and really anything related to the game's core is excellent
However, he haven't performed as well in areas like marketing, forum activity, and communication
This isn't about me personally; I don't have any questions and don't want to waste the developer's or my own time on trivial inquiries
But I firmly believe many players will become discouraged and lose interest in the project if the developer is rarely online. Simply put, the developer needs to check in here or on Patreon every two to three days, otherwise, the community will drift away
But:
The first link I shared indicates that the end of May is more of a personal motivational deadline, rather than a firm commitment. He even mentioned the possibility of not hitting that date, saying he'd provide a more specific one later

Agreed the character development is well done - thus why im here posting, if i didnt think so I wouldnt bother.

In my estimation his presence online is less of an issue than the lack of progress so early in a story. Calling in sick for work after you've been at a job for 3 years is totally different from calling in sick several times when you just got hired a month ago.

Agreed ! I am no marketing genius, but have been in business a long time. Start-up in whatever the venue it is EXTREAMLY important to 1, communicate 2, communicate 3 communicate ! You sell you product through this. People love to talk to the developer of anything . Ask questions just feel that they are engaged in the process. THey need to listen to the players ( Don't necessary have to do what they ask ) but engage them in their ideas. This is what get people to invest in you ! 4. deliver a timely product... if not see 1, 2, 3 !!! Don't shoot the messenger

for a game that's only 8 months old, this is a good amount of content, and that's not even counting the next update, which is rumored to be a big one, I mean, we got games out there that take 10 months to drop an update, and they still add less stuff than what this game's got right now.

You are right ... it is a good game good plots. However I do disagree on the length of content for the releases. I think there have bees 3 releases. THey were all small and that is OK. That is the best way to grow subscribership. quick releases 30 to 45 days. This is not however in the game... Dev has had several setbacks delaying his game. Just to let you know there are several games out there that have over 5+ hr of playtime with 2 releases in 8 months. This come no where near that playtime. But... That said I do like this game !! I hope the Dev wakes up and starts to like it too.

Hey everyone,

In the last progress update, I mentioned that I was aiming to release v0.4 this weekend but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to make that happen. The final scenes of the update turned out to be a bit more complex and demanding than I expected, and they’ve taken more time to complete. That’s really the main reason behind the delay.

I know this might be disappointing, and I truly hate making you wait longer than expected. Right now, I’d rather not give a new release date until I’m fully confident, but I can say we’re very, very close. Just a little more time is needed to wrap things up properly.

Thanks as always for your patience and support it means a lot and keeps me going.

Yep... but he is a one man show... I'll give him a little slack. He still could be better in his communications.
No, I meant the dev posted that update himself like 15 minutes earlier. That's why I'd heard it before :ROFLMAO:

I don't have a problem with the dev and dev times. Yeah sure, we'd all like lots of comms and previews, but I'm not mad that we don't get it, I just like to play the game when it's here (y)

I still don't understand why one has been out there for a week and not released yet. But oh well....
