I have seen similar models in other games (especially the wife). It might not be 100% one to one, but there a lot of people who enjoy working in Renpy that I am just surprised they havent stepped in.

This would be the biggest problem yes. I've said it before and I'll say it again, to me, Nef wrote the hottest sex scenes in any VN I've ever played.

As popular as this game was, I am surprised no one has tried to take it over and run with it. I know that's a gray area, but Nefastus has been MIA a long time now and unlikely he will return to reclaim it.

How many time shall we address it? In addition to what HornyyPussy and Ayhsel recently have written, to bring back another old argument:
Anyone who can "easily" continue that game (what means that he can recreate the characters, the writing and the whole scene props) can easily do their own games. So, why shall any of those do a continuation of a foreign game with a lot of restriction on top of newer be their own game?

As HornyyPussy & Ayhsel have said, others don't have his model files.

Also, even if (by some miracle) someone somehow makes it look very similar/almost same as you said, much bigger issue is the writing.
Nef has that specific talent for writing unique scenes, & while a person who attempts to take over may try to emulate it, it just won't feel the same.

So if Nef doesn't come back (though I believe he will), then I'd rather it be left alone, than have someone else take over and it become something which is of diminished value - and I say this with no offense to any who may be interested.
I'm sure those folks may be talented, but if that's the case then as c3p0 stated it's probably better that their time spent actually making their own original game rather than taking over this game which comes with a lot of restrictions.
