Well, I have to say that the whole development of this game is indeed a disappointment.
People were baffled over the change to Unity for this game, when DoD was one of the largest Ren'py projects around, but we thought that lewdlab wouldn't make this change if he didn't know how to use Unity, after all there are several games using Unity, that have no issues with savegames and UI and generally being user-friendly.
That didn't turn out quite like it should. Next to unplayable first release, where you couldn't even read faster or have working saves. It was fixed, but yeah, why was it even released like that?
Second release was completely underwhelming.
Now the switch to ren'py, which is a good idea, if the problems with Unity weren't going to get away, but then it's still bug-ridden and with ren'py lewdlab really should have the experience for that not to happen.
The next question would be, how a creator with the experience Lewdlab had gathered with DoD and the se-/pre-quel could fall for the sandbox with no content and stupid annoying roaming to search for new content trap?
I'm not one of the patrons any longer so I can't complain, but I have to say it is a bit of a disappointment. Which brings us back right to the beginning of my post.
