Quoting dev blog from Nov 4, "As I said previously, that doesn't mean everything for Midnight Paradise ends, since there will be more content after the 1.0 update".

Has the dev said anything new since earlier this month or are you talking out of your ass?

v1.0 is the "MEGA FINALE (dev's own words)". The story is complete. After that random sandbox events and bugfixes which I doubt many will care much for....probably be like a definitive edition or some shit like their other game, it will also get the "completed" tag everyone will bitch about even though the story is complete.

They say there will be a DLC but it will not be like the main game or play like the main game, hence why I said it's more or less going to be a "new game". And until it actually happens...well.

After that I'm planning on doing an expansion which will offer a different style of play from everything else experienced in MP so far, but that's all I'm going to say about that for now.

I don't know whether I'm disappointed or not. Yeah okay, main story is "finished" after 1.0 but will the DLC be more like a season 2 with substantial content worth redownloading it again or will it be more like breadcrumbs for the actual fans?

I'm hoping for the former. Seeing as it's likely for the storyline to be rushed if it's 1 *real* update left.

That's why I was saying the end for now, until they actually talk about the DLC I'm just going to assume the game is over. I don't really care about the extra sandbox events whatsoever. The island DLC sounds like it's going to be super small in scale and might actually be more like a prologue some games do. Whatever happens I'm not expecting any news until next year and those DLC at least 6 months or more out.

There other game got a definitive edition it's been a while since I've played or remember all that was added after the fact.

we know only what dev tells. so you juist have to wait what happens.
