Apart from that it looks great and runs perfectly. Would that be caused by something on my end? Maybe an issue with the software I unzipped it with?

Easy to check: unzip with another utility (e.g. TheUnarchiver vs the build-in utility) and compare.

They're supposed to be working on the MP's sandbox content expansion.
Also working on a new game called Sunset Rose.
There hasn't been any news since the end of April this year.
