Your view on Dream of Desire is subjective. I wouldn't consider Dreams of Desire a "masterpiece". And you might forget that DoD had sleep rape, molesting and a very thin plot as well.

This is only my opinion .Visual novel fans killing the adult gaming . Anytime someone try to do domething different than a viual novel they starts bashing with non-stop comments . Personally I can't say much about Midnight Paradise because I haven't played it yet. After the initial release under Unity I skipped through the Beta version a bit and since then never tried it again.
But it was clear from the beginning that Lewdlab wanted to try something different from Dreams of Desire, and said it himself that he is going to use a sandbox-hybrid style for MP. Now I do not understand why so many people are bitching about the gameplay.

I was talking in general. Look at two games in my signature. They both never was visual novels they were sandbox games from the beginning. Yet if you look their review pages you see people votes low cause games are not VN.Personally I can't say much about Midnight Paradise because I haven't played it yet. If people would start to use their big brain instead their smaller one it might be different.

I've said this before, that the sleep rape in DoD was acceptable within the fantasy dream demon universe. Does not fit in with the gritty real world universe that MP is set in. DoD was a masterpiece for a specific era of incest gaming, it was fun, didn't take itself too seriously and flowed well. All subjective opinions, I agree.Your view on Dream of Desire is subjective. That's a wonderful playful game! Perfect renders and resolution! I hope updates come very fast and this game continue for so long
