literally 50% chance he will post his update next year. At this point the reliability of this dev and the confidence level is so low you can't even be sure there will be a next update at all.

Called it first, expect no updates in 2022.
Nah, he will. He is not as famous as ICSTOR, so he doesn't have a choice if he wants to keep the patrons on the board. He just stretched it over this year because he knew he could do it.

One of those goals is progressing Midnight Paradise development to near the end.
"So close". Fail

DoD: DE is getting released on that date and it will be followed closely with an MP release.
Fail (the part about "will be followed closely with MP release"

Midnight Paradise returns in November!
No, it won't. Fail

The update slips over to December, however I'd like to reassure everyone that everybody who is a Patron $10 and above will get the update in December
And to close the year: Fail.

In resume: just one release in the entire 2021. A wasted year for MP.

Imagine making 6 figures a year to average making 1 render a day. What is wrong with the people that give these devs money?

Not that I'm claiming he does, however it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine to run multiple patreons under multiple developer aliases? Perhaps the rabbit hole goes even deeper.

"Will the new update come this month?"
"It will come when it's ready. You just have to wait."

Not gonna lie, that reminds me of ICSTOR's Discord server. Similar kind of arrogant answers to appropriate questions from Lewdlab's staff. Well, at least it seems that after a nice holiday vacation under the palm trees, Dr. Sin has once again appeared online in his Discord server. So lets expect "the coder ate my update while I was on vacation" excuse to be given out soonish.

I'm not pulling an "Icstor"

Idk if there's really a coder problem or if this kind of issues can cause so much problems. However, without considering impatient/silly/annoying users, this kind of tensions between players and devs occur when there's no trust. We all know that sh#t happens, but if a developer is trustworthy (quiet regular updates, good amount of content, good communication, listens to the patrons, ...) those are not that important.
Lewdlab created two fantastic games, probably two of the best of this kind, but the incredible blueballin', the lack of communication and the "final version" of DOD (which nobody asked btw), put him in a difficult position. It's normal if after this new coder stuff, people is getting impatient and as it has already been mentioned, the team's answer might be the proof of the dev's real intentions.

The coder problem is real, since nobody has heard anything from Maim Lain after the end of October.

Other than that, I agree. Lewdlabs biggest problem is similar to other small devs. They don't know shit about PR, and they don't care about it. To them once in a month or every second month is enough communication, because the supporters will accept it. Hell, he took like a whole month off and just went on travelling around the world during the summer, when meanwhile everyone thought that he was working hard on the DoD DE and trying to push it out asap. Then he explained that with the "oh I have a burnout, I have mental issues" excuses, and everyone of his supporters just swallowed it. Just like they swallowed it with ICSTOR when he first did that stunt. Most likely he will use that as an excuse for the silence this time around also.

Now if he actually was a man of his words and a trustworthy dev, since he had to delay the update for a whole month, he would now come out with versions 0.15 and 0.16, because the development cycle would be enough for that. But we know that he will come out with only 0.15, as he has been just sitting on his ass during the time that the new coder has taken to learn how Lain used to do the code before the Holidays, when Sin could've easily just used that extra time on creating some new content.

What about darkhound1 - he of Holiday Island fame? He not only keeps people updated but makes sure everyone's kept informed with progress.
Until he rips out the character you enjoy and does not care to respond...

His updates, while 'regular', are not on a schedule. But if you want the overtly muscular bodies or unrealistic chests, he is your guy.

Is there any reason dev haven't release new update for a decade ?

Why would he, or stoper, or a few others with no creative process, release any update after they have established a simp following in patreon?

The incentive in monthly payment schemes, passage-of-time dependant, not dependant on actual creative work, the incentive is 100% for the dev to not deliver. The longer he takes, not only the more money he makes, but the religious simps become more agressive and polarized, and the obvious scam only makes the simps more vocal and rabid, and the more pathological their instant "white-knighting", running to the rescue of the damzel in distress, that is the developer who makes thousands every month he does not deliver an update.

Patreon does not care about you, or what you expect to be fulfilled. They are a money making machine, and not even an imaginative one. They are literally pimps. That's all.
And the same simps who come here to attack anyone asking obvious questions are the same people who would defend the pimp for having a fraudulent timer watch keeper for a hooker that counts 30 minutes when actually only 15 minutes have passed, for each client who pays for a full 30 minutes.

EDIT: if you don't already know this actual developer, look into "Nenad Asanovic", and others like him, who also make thousands doing this, but are actual true artist with an actual creative process that they can't stop, year after year, delivering more and more content in regular intervals, because they are actual artist with a feverish creative process, and not pretend-developers who collapse after 6 months of regular intervals.
