Hey everyone,
As the title says here's some quick info about the progress.
What's being done:
Right now we are finishing up writing the remaining scenes. The amount of dialogue in this update is fucking nuts. 3 people on the team writes various amounts of scenes and don't worry, I'm writing the least amount.
I've finished the renders and animations I needed to make for the scenes. And holy shit it was a LOT. But I'm happy to say, it's some of my best work, ever.
I have a couple more days of writing left to do, and in the meantime, the others on the team are starting to test - which will take some time because of all the new content and systems we are putting in. A lot of the back-end is reworked. And unless we set everything up perfectly the first time, we'll have to iterate and optimize, especially the Affection Point system (not grindy but not meaningless).
What's left to do:
I'm adding chats/events to the in-game phone to make it a core part of the game. By my current estimates, it will go over 100 chats, where in some of them you'll also get some pics from the girls. Once Risael has enough time he will help out if I'm too slow with this, but I think I got it.
I need to do the usual QA pass on the renders and fix the ones that are wrong, same with the animations.
I need to make some additional renders that are needed for some of the new features the other members of the team implemented. (These are really just a few, don't panic.)
And again, testing, testing, testing.
But man, I'm excited, we're so close now!

Like man, I am very glad its the best work you have done yet, but its probably a 2 minutes update again (because lets be honest this game is fucking unreadable with how bad the story is) with "scenes" you cant see shit in

The guy is riding on his patreons and I'm so tired of this trend. Happened with ICSTOR, happening here. Suddenly their "passion" turns into "I need to perfect this." Which is just another way of saying: "I'll spend 12 months writing doing 2 week's worth of work, then sell it to you idiots who keep paying me.
People who give them money on Patreon I ask: Why?

i seriously cant believe that it been almost one year with out an update, i seriosuly use to love Lewdlab, my first porn game was DoD, and i i loved that game, and used to love this game too, i considered him really professional, but now its been almost a year, and he hasnt even given an estimate or timeframe of when the next updates its going to be out, i mean he should just release what ever he has completed of the game right now, that would stop the hate
Anyone else game to start a betting pool on what the excuse for the next delay will be? My entry is he gets entranced by a plastic bag and decides the update can’t be released without it being a “core part” of the game moving forward

Can you see how much they earn? I mean 1800 patrons, if they all pay 1.50, it's not much for 3 people. If they pay 43 dollars a month, of course it's a lot...
Of course getting money, and not having put out any update in almost a year, sucks.
No I'm not fucking joke. Yeh it could be a lot. I wouldn't pay it, they don't update enough. Still doesn't show the total amount. Lets say 1680 / 2 = 840, so if 839 would pay 1.5 and 841 would pay, you got 3500 euro for 1 person a month (when 3 persons are paid), still need to remove costs for models, and taxes. Which is nice, if you don't live in germany or so, but in eastern Europe.
Of course I said still sucks that they don't put out an update. They seem to write constantly about progress. There are lot worse things stupid people could do and are doing than paying those devs a little money.

Why is everyone assuming that there is more than 1 person working on this? As long as there is no update and assuming that the update will be very small and disappointing as always (if it ever is released), there is no way that more than 1 person is working on this. Just another lie being told to keep milking, same as all the lies with the DoD remake and we all know how that turned out.
If Patreon is showing 10$ as the most popular pledge, we are looking at 18k per month, lets say patreon takes half thats still 9k per month (before taxes). You can live VERY comfortably anywhere in Europe with that money.
Yes stupid people do stupid things with their money, but I would still assume that a good amount of the people that pay into this scam came from this forum, so an abandoned tag in the last few months would have been nice to at least reduce the amount of people that get scammed a bit.
If something is good, you probably have a designer and a coder, and someone who makes a stories. In my experience it's highly uncommon if a coder and designer are the same person. In the text above somewhere the person wrote that there are 3 developers.
So most popular doesn't mean everyone, so lots of them have the 1.5 dollar. So 18k is far too much. Patreon taking half of it, and the taxes he needs to pay. In the end it's okay money, but it's not as much as everyone believes.
Having said that, it still sucks, and is not okay, that he hasn't any update in 1 year. But then I don't pay him a dime, so I actually don't care.

Even though this developer lies really much, like really really much, there indeed is more than one person working on the game. Reason for it is that Dr. Sin simply doesn't know jack shit about how to code the games. He used to have very well known modder from this site, MaimLain, to do the coding for his games until Lain took off from everywhere in late 2021 and disappeared. So Dr. Sin was forced to find a new coder to do the coding for him, which he eventually did. His Discord moderator, Risael, is also now working on the games by doing some writing for him (for example some of the brand new scenes in Dreams of Desire: Definitive Edition are written by Risael). So Dr. Sin, Risael and the coder makes three people. According to Dr. Sin there should also be a separate main writer as the fourth member, but that has never been proved yet by pointing out who the person actually is, so this fourth member can very well be all made up, but at least three members is the real number for this team.
So, with the coding and writing being off of his shoulders and being done by other people, Dr. Sin should be able to focus on pumping dozens of hot, steamy, juicy, top notch renders and animations easily, right? Well that would be the case, if this guy just wasn't such a total sloth with absolute zero passion for his project.

Not abandoned, just really really really slow progress with the updates. The new version should already be in the testing phase.
