I'd rather see this marked, don't get me wrong, but this guy has been around enough to know how to play the rules.

Brother, when it comes to this game and its developer, we care about what's been posted on this game's patreon page. Whatever has been said on his DC chat has no relevance at all. We just share some of the dialogs which have been written by the developers of the game on DC because some people are not on his DC server. We share what's been said and talk about it. Maybe you might some truth about what they say or talk about in their DC chat but personally I don't.

The announcement section in the discord channel of this game is utter useless, they should just remove it. Dev rarely responds , he has kept a spokesperson Risael for all of it. Ask for an update and all you get is bullshit excuses for delays. God bless their patrons for keeping the patience for over a year.

Because there is a rule that governs the prefix. Officially it is from today it can be considered but since there are official communications over discord suggesting there will be an announcement soon enough its doubtful. The meantime the last update was more than a year ago. I'd say that the prefix hinges on the next status update.
It is up to consideration. It isn't a clear cut case. Emotional bias set aside.
The prefix isn't automatically given by the way. Nobody reports the thread the mods won't notice.

I don't get why everyone is wanting the abandoned tag. If you want it to fail so bad why not unwatch the thread and not worry about the progress of the game instead of just complaining?

First of all, at this point there is no progress. Everything points towards the dev just scamming his patreons for as long as possible. I'd love to be proven wrong here, but looking at the devs history (e.g. the DOD "remaster" etc.) I don't think so and I'd be very surprised if this thread ever gets updated and if it does, it will be an insanely small update.
Second, most people probably don't want it to fail as they liked the game, but it has already failed. If the dev would keep releasing updates, that would be great, but its just not happening. But even knowing that, the tiny bit of hope that there could ever be a continuation of the story keeps me from unwatching it.
Lastly, if you see a wrong in the world (e.g. in this case someone scamming his gullible supporters), wouldn't you want to change that. Yes this is a pirate forum, but I'd bet that a lot of his patreons saw this game on sites like this one and there are probably still a few people who see it here and then subscribe to his patreon. You never know, but I like to think that the abandoned tag will at least prevent some people from wasting their money on this scammer.
