I'll get back to the idea of naming the MC! ..but no promises!
He is such a joker! He shouldn't do it tho'. Wasting an opportunity. Just finish the game. Start making a new one. Two years in the development, take a year long break and say this amount of time was needed to implement player naming the MC in midnight paradise!

the plot and relationship dialogues in "no more money" is better and the scenes are good, while the scenes of this game is much better and the story is a decent but relationships progress doesn't feel natural.

Why isn't there an option just to make Joyce at very least your stepmom? Why does turning incest off in the mod evidently do nothing? That ruins this whole thing for me, and any interest I may have at continuing.

What's the problem? Version 0.x means it's under development. 1.0 would be the final version.
When they add even more functionality/content that would be version 1.1.
Versions aren't like numbers. You can have version 0.1337 and then go to 1.0
have you had a glance to his patreon page? If there’s anything published by the doctor sin?
That last line is the important one, so no promises about the name change. Idk why we can't change the MC's name, I think even in the cutscene nobody says his name! nobody says Connor, only kid. (any tech savvy out there? is it hard to change the character's name? I don't think so.. but I have no idea)
About the more updates after this I think it's only finishing touches, so I don't think the rest of the updates are substantial or as big as v0.17. I think v0.25 probably only focus on Joyce and looking at v0.24 while it feels like it's near the end there's no way you can finish all the story it with one update.
