It's only the taboo aspect that makes it exciting. Don't think most people actually have an IRL fetish to have sex with their mom or siblings. WOuld be super wierd if they did anyway.
I have a theory about this. I believe incest is actually lazy writing trope because you skip the work required to establish characters by simply stating they are family. You don't have to build up the setting on why the MC randomly lives with various women of different ages. Not saying it can't be done but writing has never been good on most stories.

Immagine some scenes where you find your girls throughout the house, in pairs or more, doing hidden stuff to each other. And you get the option to spy or join. Like...say...Joyce and Ruby hugging and making out, ducked behind the kitchen counter.
Or Ruby sneaking into Issa's shower to grab a hand full. Uuuu or Joyce grabbing Eliana's hand, about to take her to her room, to teach her how to please you better.

Your theory's pretty shallow.
Establishing characters - Who they are, what they're like, is more than just what their relation to the MC is. Even when it's a non-incest game where the MC has family that appear, those characters also have to be established and their character traits shown/explored for the user to see.

Most stories in porn games are just there for "decorative" reasons, like in a porn movie. The whole reason for doing incest themed stories is for tapping into that specific kink, just like with a NTR focused game or a moral/mental corruption game.
There are certainly cases where the story and characters are well done and enjoyable enough that the pornographic elements become more of a welcome bonus instead of simply the sole reason for wanting more installments/updates from a project, but those are sadly rare.
This was one of the first of these games I'd ever played. The first out of three maybe.
Anyway, my point being, this was superior at the time because even though the plot was silly, and lacked any sense of immersion, I was still hooked because the women in it are rendered so beautifully.
One of the reasons I got into Daz was because of Ruby lol.
Shame it ended in the way it did, but is still worth the grind.
