yeah, but the multi mod comes with the ipatch without (afaik) any way of removing it

You're right, you can't edit relationships with the multi mods.
But there is always a way in Renpy. You can try to put the attached file in your "game" folder (not fully tested)

You may need to restart the game for the 2 petnames (that thing works... almost)
