I can tell you, dude. I can tell you right now, you don't have to wait for anything. Because maybe, like you said, it seems like it should take less time now that they made these "improvements" (there aren't any really), but it wouldn't. Because, like I said, we've been through it before, when the dev broke every single promise/deadline, and "improvements" never lead to anything. I don't know where you have been?
I respect your opinion, but I humbly disagree.
Improvements: Navigation. Previously it was a bunch of images inside of a clunky bar at the top of the screen with no names for things. There was no sense of "Connectivity" between the items and your movement. Now, you know that the Study, your twin brother's room, and your basement door are in Hallway 2, and the Master Bedroom, and both sisters' rooms are in hallway 1. There's a layout, a feel adding to the "immersion" in the game world. You now have a 3D layout with arrows that have names for things that are mostly unobtrusive. You have doors that are clickable that have names over them. Clickable objects (like doors and characters) light up better than they did before. You can gripe all you want about these not being improvements, they most certainly are to me, and I would venture to say others will find them to be improvements as well. They make the game more playable. It's not perfect, but it's certainly better than the previous releases of this game.
Secondly, the main gripe was "4 months wait for 327 images" that I was replying to. Which works out to ~80 images/animations per month according to his graphic. It failed to mention the overhaul to the UI and the overall flow rework of the game. That is why it took so long. And as I said, at least now, with things the way they are, 1 of 3 things can happen.
1) The Dev can have a faster release schedule that focuses only on new content and the coding for new content.
2) The Release can take the same amount of time but there will likely be more content due to not having to rework what's already been done.
3) The Dev can release slow, and continue with weaksauce updates.
Any way this goes, I am a user, and I see progress as progress and don't really give a damn about how much or how little is made in what amount of time. If I wanted to "Do things better" or "Do things faster" I'd go develop my own game. What was done in the last 4 months, is enough to keep me satisfied with the game. That's my opinion, yours obviously differs, I will continue to play the game, what are you going to do? Sit here and complain about it till the cows come home?
