New characters are a distraction from the rest of the characters getting content. Case in point "Where The Heart Is" took its sweet fucking time getting to a sex scene involving the first woman introduced for something like 14 releases. Part of the problem was that they kept adding new characters to the mix. By the time you actually get around to that sex scene around four new characters were introduced, the scene felt extremely late, and your character had been blue balled at least two or three times. There's a perception that the more characters a game adds, the more it's trying to delay gratification, the more it's trying to sucker money out of Patreon supporters by forcing a longer development time.

Developing a game usually entails alot of unpredictable holdups, especially with bugs. The worst thing that could happen is they get impatient or cave to pressure and release without thurough revision. I wish it would be out already too.
It sucks that he said mid February and it didnt happen, but that's okay. Itll come out

Oh, no, there are plenty worse. He's just not one of the best anymore - due to both his issues, and certain new devs being really good.

His art and script, in my opinion, is the best.DoD made me know and love this world. What Dr. Sin has to improve is undoubtedly in his communication with his patreons and transparency in his work times. If your work needs more time than the rest of the devs, put it in a weekly report.Patreons deserve weekly reports and real promises, not empty promises to attract new patreons.
