OK...let me try again. That wasn't the question or issue you posed. You made it seem like Android ports of Unity titles simply didn't exist or were entirely rare. They're not.
Sure, it's not as easy as a renpy port but I made that clear in my reply. As for this dev I don't know as I've never played the title. Yet, I think the port is out now so...yeah.
Edit: also, lol at the notion that you can't port Unity projects to other platforms. You 100% can. I've done it for fun on modified consoles and legitimate SDKs alike, Android included. You truly don't know what you're talking about there.
As far as I know, you can't take an existing Unity game and port it to another platform. If I'm wrong, point me to instructions how. You cited "The Spellbook" - the Android version is not a port, it's a version made by the dev.
The only way to make an Android version of a Unity game is to have the original development files and create it using the Unity SDK.
A random user can take a Mac or Windows Ren'Py game, load it into the Ren'Py SDK, do some Android magic, and make an Android version. A random user cannot take a Mac or Windows Unity game, load it in the Unity SDK, and make an Android version. It doesn't have all the stuff it needs.
A dev can make an Android version of his/her game, but a 3rd party can't take an existing game and make an Android version from it.
Again - if I'm wrong, point me to instructions how to do it.
