Knowing that we are just halfway the game's length was good news, as I feel the story needs a lot of development yet. Making basic math about the amount of releases we had, and the amount that there will be, taking into account one per month, got me a little bit sad, as I dont want to wait another full year for the game completion; that's madness.

Do we know for sure we are at the middle?
Because middle was suppose to be 0.09
I actually have the feeling that we just at the start of episode 2 from 3 episodes story.

Just feel its milking the patreon as long as possible. Story didnt move much, not much action.

I enjoy the build up as well. Every story should have a good rise in arousal and then a climax. This works very well with text only stories, and movies/tv episodes. However I think it is very hard to do in a partial release of a story that's typical of the schedule of these labor and hardware/time intensive updates. In a lot of cases I am very forgiving of sliding scale release dates, that take into count milestones/chapters of the story, that could pique the audience's interest and leave them satisfied at the same time. Unfortunately this doesn't fit nicely with the monthly patreon model.

To satisfy people with an episodic type update for a visual novel you'd have to be a master story-teller, feed them enough to fap and enough to leave them anticipating the next episode. A good TV show does this well(except probably the fapping part). Release some(fappable content) and then begin build-up for the next episode's fappable content would do wonders. Of course everyone's idea of enough fappable content is going to vary as well...

I doubt there are many out there that can create such beautiful art, as This and other Devs can, are also great story tellers capable of stepping back from the renders, looking at the complete story as a whole and splitting it into episodic releases. Maybe if single-dev teams had someone to assist with that portion of the project. And some stories may not be easily split to achieve this, especially ones that have intertwined character progression in a sandbox.

I can expand more on this with an example but I'm sure everyone is bored of this post already.


And I agree sex doesn't have to be the last task/conquest for the character. There are plenty of ways to add spice afterwards. Sadly, in Joyce's case butt stuff started before the sex. :ROFLMAO: And the hidden "hold the moan" analingus while talking to your daughter through the door is another bit of spice that could have came after sex.

People complaining about the lack of sex here but it makes sense that way, its more realistic like that. Incest is so taboo that it takes time to break those barriers down with the female characters in the story. Some people might not like that but i actually like it that way as long as the relationships feel real and organic. Great job to LewdLab for sticking to that path. (y)

not incest by default but with default settings this game doesn't make any sense.

I think you might be lost in the wrong forum.:unsure:
Your statement above could be valid if there are only mc-related females in the game, and no side-chicks, and if this game would have "story" and a build-up, apart from endless/meaningless massaging&similar scenes...
If that feels "real and organic" to you, you are either lewdlab, or some close "organic" relative of his.

I will but currently,my hands are busy with Treasure of Nadia as well.
You reminded me of "Come Inside" even though it doesn't have a bad ending concept but you have to choose wisely your moves if you wish to have a desired/specific ending in that (incomplete) game.

It's just my taste then. I like the buildup in games more than the actual sex events. Because after that, it's 'mission accomplished' and it's not that interesting anymore. At least that's what I like so that probably translates to how I make Midnight Paradise. DoD was 12 Episodes, Mrs Turner was fucked in EP 9 - that's at 75% completion. MP is nowhere near 75% done so I'm probably right on track here. (and yes, I guess I'm making more than the initially planned 18 updates)

Also, it was easier in DoD, since the MC had his powers and that lead to getting laid with the girls.
But here Connor has nothing like DoD MC's power, so it always feels weird to move fast with a 'household' character.

I agree in hindsight, side characters should have been fucked sooner. I focused a lot on the main girls and that's why I didn't take the time to add sex with side characters.

I'm also thinking about the finished game most of the time and not the periodic releases. I can always add side-objectives with sex later, to an earlier part of the game is it feels like it takes too long to reach a sex scene (which judging by the feedback it does).
