He did consider it, but the consistency was not very good.
The Upscaler usually respects the original image, if it doesn't, a little Photoshop fixes it.
Where consistency fails is in images generated with AI, but when you rescaling an existing image the result has quite good consistency.
What issue are you having? The only thing that I can see at first glance is that you're missing one of the portraits (it's showing 6 out of 7 inspected). You also have the swimming trunks, but you haven't swam yet to increase your endurance (you can only swim when no one else is at or in the pool).
They are short animations, you can extract the frames in Photoshop, upscale the frames with AI, and use the resulting images to do the animation again.
That may cause issues with development, time-wise. Especially being on a consistent monthly release schedule. And with Faerin being the only one doing the renders, coding, writing, animation, etc... Well, I think you can see why that would cause issues. Needless to say, he has given AI some thought as far as animations go.
That is exactly the problem. It ends up looking like some stop motion animation from the 70's, it's really bad. Maybe one day, but not yet.
There certainly are possibilities - but also potential pitfalls. When I look at the image of the trio, the expressions of the girls seem quite different to me. Also the abs in the last set are way too prominent. Nothing unfixable, but not a quik'n'easy solution IMO.
This looks terrible, dev should stick to the original art imo.
It is an interesting exercise, testing out the tech on a set of images.
Probably because you have set your game path inside some hidden or long path folders, please move the game under C:\Midnight Sin and you should be able to play without any issues.
