9 months & we've had 9 releases. One per month (same as his previous games) & you're complaining about lack of content?
Wow.

There are multitudes of games on this site that don't get one update in the same time period. I can easily think of 3 that have taken well over a year & there is still no update.
In relative terms, you're upset over nothing. I can only suggest that you manage your own expectations better.

If there's subjectively not enough content for you right now, leave it for a few versions & check back.
It's a new game, give it & the story some time to develop & grow.

How should "changing the engine" help anything? If anything at all, that would slow development down. Faerin has already made two games in Unity, one considered one of the best of its kind on the forums here.

But yeah, when you start a new game, you better first get the mechanics running on which you will have the content later. This is why these are slow to start content wise. They will pick up.

I also would not suggest to suggest to somebody to "give it up" unless you're an expert in the field.

I not have new hit, how continue (use save). I play new game and same.
I couldn't find anything new in this update

And there are other sites like 3dload.net which usually much have content more than F95
(uploads here are only by user request, i believe)

You do realize that changing game engines isn't going to make any difference content-wise, right? Aside from that, having to deal with a new game engine would take time for the developer to get used to using it, especially if they've never used it before, which would dramatically slow production down in the process. No production means no income while patrons wait (or drop support) for the game to be developed.

So overall, your "suggestion" has no merit. I do have an idea, though... And hear me out here... Why don't YOU develop a game in the game engine that YOU like and come talk to me later. ;)

My god I'm so glad somebody else noticed the lack of game content in this game after nine months, it's a total disgrace. I'm sure the game you made has much more content than this.
What game is it by the way? It must have loads of content and you must be a great dev giving out free advice to other devs here.
I mean this dev has only had two other successful games that are on Steam at the moment and they're on Unity as well.
I presume you have more than two on there and not on Unity, on another platform, as you seem to know what you're talking about.
Can you give me a few links to them? As I'm in awe at your greatness, and they must be really big sellers.
With your wonderful free advice and the great games you make you must be a multi millionaire by now by all means please feel free to come back to the thread anytime and share your wisdom with us.

If that's what you thought someone was going to say to you, you were wrong.
Best I can come up with is that your avatar is so apt as to what I think you are just put stupid in front of it.

I think what he means is to change the game design so it becomes more similar to a VN (which is classic for RenPy). I have played your games before and I think they are good, but imo it would be better if there were more uninterrupted sequences of story progression without having to do a lot of small tasks in between. So for example after the user completes a certain list of tasks in the open world he will be rewarded with longer VN-like sequences.

Well, a game engine would be, for example; Ren'Py, Unity, Unreal and the like... Faerin has used Unity ever since I've worked with him mid-way through MotH (nearly 7 years now).

Changing engines mid-way through would not be ideal for him to do, in fact, it would be problematic for the reasons I mentioned in my other reply. It would takes months if not longer getting himself familiarized with something new and that's not something he would be wiling compromise on. This has always been a topic for debate in the other games threads. A few people would rather see Faerin develop a game in Ren'Py or something else besides Unity (probably for the fact that in most Ren'Py games, you can use UnRen to extract the images, videos, audio, scripts etc from the RPAs...).

It's not as simple as it sounds. It's actually a bit complex.

Right but my point is that you can still change the game design without changing the engine. I think that the guy actually was talking about the design rather than the engine, even tho that is what he said.

Well, that's debatable, really. The way I see it (not quite sure what Faerin's take on the matter is), the market is already over-saturated with AVNs that there's very few, if any, with actual gameplay elements to them and that's more what Faerin's always gone for, if you'd ever played MotH and MwM (not sure if you had or hadn't, just using those two games as references). And that, I believe, is what sets Faerin apart from other devs.

The thing is although we work for Faerin we don't have any idea of what he wants to put in the game, We only find out about new features once we get the test version.
He likes to make games with an element of gameplay and not just straightforward VNs and after two games on Unity I doubt he will go for R'enpy anytime soon.

When you say design what do you mean?
Moth was closer to a VN and MwM was closer to an actual game with obviously porn involved.
He was slated in some quarters for both, so he has decided to make this a balance of his two previous games if that makes sense, there will be gameplay but it will also be incorporated into a VN type and try to balance the two
