So my recommendation would be just to try again with a fresh set of files, maybe editing with something other than GIMP just in case? And make sure you're picking the colours directly from an image of Kigis. I don't really know the technical side of how the engine reads colours, but you're right that there's something specific in how it handles them.
That looks really nice, great job! I hadn't really thought about it, but I should probably de-censor the H scenes for Remix. Or heck, even for the Translation, I doubt there's anyone who doesn't want them to be uncensored right?

Yeah it definitely takes a while, make anything animated and you multiply the work massively compared to a still illustration haha. Regarding faster ways, the only thing I could think of would be seeing what an AI could do with it maybe? I'm typically against AI art because it lacks soul, but decensoring a pixel dick is one of the rote tasks that robots were made for I suppose!
It's definitely possible! I could maybe throw some dogged-up stages together eventually, though it would be last priority behind translation/remix/decensor and so would be a long time til I get round to doing requests or anything. One challenge would be working out how the enemy spawns work specifically, as I think they differ based on the difficulty setting so may not be as simple as placing an enemy on the stage once - but not sure yet.
