The fight is logical: use the garbage can, combine punches with throwing beer bottles, and parry every time he tries to hit you.

How do you end the fight? I am stuck in an endless scenario. It just keeps telling me to try again but you can't.

E and Q did nothing. Every time it said to press E or Q nothing happened. It would just be a textbox with either the E or Q for how ever many times I pressed them, then if I hit enter it would say failed every time. Normally on fight scenes it is a timed event that detects if you hit the key in time, not a textbox

But to be successful, your reaction time needs to be less than 1.5 seconds.

Well, you always have the option to run away from the fight. Fighting Ryu will open some connections earlier if you win, but you won’t miss out because the MC will still have the chance to join Jake's gym whether he wins or avoids the fight with Ryu.
