I found funny that somehow my praise about DanGames offends people. No, they are not happy about DanGames makes a good game, and updates it fast, but upset about my "frustration bottled up" (?). Guys, just enjoy this game!

I admire your rhetorical skills. And out of respect, would have left the post without response if it didn't directly tag and frame me. Thank you for sharing your opinion, first and foremost. Your rhetorical deflection isn't going to pass, even though it was quite well performed. I put my response in bullet form to save everyone a bit of time:

• You didn't actively engage with what I presented, which is of course your own prerogative. That says something and what that specifically is, I will leave up to the reader to decide.
• I respect you disagreeing with my opinion, not the fact you chose to "mock" it on top of that. Engaging that way shows you do feel a certain way about what I wrote. I hope it does something positive for you, rather than create more negativeness.
• Your reframing of "No, they are not happy about DanGames makes a good game, and updates it fast" is, like in your last post, an opinion stated as a false truth. My opinion is made public and can be read:

  . I'm even considering raising the number, although I too have concerns with the amount of quality control I'm seeing. Of course I am happy the dev makes a good game. If you would have taken the time to investigate my opinion, you wouldn't have presented this as a hard fact.
• "Guys, just enjoy this game!" is an attempt at making light of a situation you initially raised yourself. If you had honored your own advice, you wouldn't have praised the game over the backs of other developers. You could have just said 'What a great game'. That's where I stepped in to voice my findings with my opinion on top, in hoping I can make you or anyone that reads understand you're not helping developers create better games with your actions. The praise is fine. Of course the praise is fine, why wouldn't it be? It's the stab underneath that I wanted to uncover and well, maybe criticise.

Really, that's all. MILF Obsession is an interesting game and I look forward to reviewing where Dan takes it. I too appreciate you responding to my post, even though you made it exclusively about yourself and didn't direct address the content. You're absolutely right about the "Guys, just enjoy this game!" part, which is the best part of advice. Out of agreement on that advice I'll drop this afterward, and do apologize if any of this does anything more than give insight on how posts like those are made to look like they help developers, but really harm the industry as a whole. To make sure the post is at least a bit on-topic as well:
This game is in a weird junction place, but a better one than I initially rated it. I'm debating whether I should raise the score to 8 after the last batch of updates. I think it'll happen. MILF Obsessions sits in a funny place of silly humor and nice characters, and keeps growing in that route. It definitely grew on me as a player.

Im getting the chapter 4 loop bug as well. I think i used a walktrough mod in the past. But this is now a clean game and i even started from the beginning and i'm still getting the loop

Chapter 4 loop for me, I'm not using any mods at all.

I've just gone back through Chapter 5 and saved before the end so hopefully all will be cured for the next update.

It's actually one of the biggest reasons I almost never use mods. I already waited for the game itself to get updated. Not to kinkshame anyone, but self-deprivation-via-forced-extra-delay is no fetish of mine.

+1 to basically all of that. I also enjoy MILF Obsession and do not want to discredit Dan from making games that are overall fun and engaging. That said, Dan is not an example by which to judge any other developers.

If the crux of the argument is that game updates come out monthly instead of every 6 months, then look no further to his other current game New in City which hasn't been updated in 6 months. While you could argue that he diverted his attention to MILF Obsession, that is entirely the problem for myself and anyone else playing New in City. Now anyone playing that is stuck waiting for updates, which now may never come. The game is very buggy and has major UI issues so it is unsurprising that it has taken a back seat anyway.

Updating quickly is one thing but making a quality game that has elaborate lewd scenes, good storytelling, functional UI and bug-free gameplay is not exactly what Dan is known for. He is known for pumping out mediocre games quickly. He has 27 releases with pages on this forum. Of those 27 games, only MILF Obsession has a good rating (4.1 stars). Besides that one, two have 3 stars (3 and 3.1 respectively) and the remaining 24 games all have a rating of 2.7 stars or below. That includes multiple 1 star-rated games. For those unaware, you cannot rate a game below 1 star. There is no option for zero stars.

Not trying to pick on Dan but what that points to is a game developer who prioritizes production speed over anything else. I would suspect that many developers don't even want to put out updates with that frequency even if they could - mainly because they have different objectives (quality over quantity, for example). While that is my personal conjecture, there is a lot to support that point.

so i finished the part of the story where mc helps Casey find dumbasses phone and then i get a chapter summary. and then i get sent back to earlier in the game to the point where mc and Casey go looking for dumbass in the alley..what gives?

It's rare I use them.

I don't need walkthrough mods because choices are usually common sense based .... thought I can see why some people do need walkthrough mods, because choices are common sense based. I mean, i've seen people ask for them for kinetic games .... if there are people here that need guides on playing a game with no choices and just a whole page of "press space" then having to choose between 2 options would give them a meltdown.

Incest mods i'm a bit meh about. If the landlady talk is constant and feels weird i'll use one but it's not really one of my main kinks with lesbian incest being rare as rocking horse shit so not really a bother.

It's when they get more in depth like adding extra music or scenes that I do try to avoid for fear of blowing up my saves.
