Yes, CookieMonster666, it is sooo much better than the devs constantly whining about everything. Oh, I have a job, Oh, I have a family, Oh I have....... excuse after excuse. They can do it, they can release their game whenever they want, but DanGames proves that if you really want to do something, you can. And other devs prove if they really don't want to do something, and only wants to whine about it, then can do that too! Most likely DanGames is not a robot, but a person too, a person who wants to do games.
"DanGames proves that if you really want to do something, you can."
You're allowed to have that opinion, but you should present it as an opinion, not a fact.
That also means I get to voice my opinion about your opinion.
There is probably some frustration bottled up there from earlier times when developers hurt you with the things they said. I'm sorry for you and I want you to have the best experience possible, of course. But what you're doing (projecting & setting expectations) is a toxic trait and it doesn't help developers in any way. You're not helping DanGames by shoving a pedestal under this work ethic and you're not motivating any developer struggling to work harder. You're not helping us, who get a notification for this message, because the opinion isn't helping as well.
I'm sorry to hear the world feels like such a troubled, nasty place to you. As someone who frequently speaks with developers due to doing reviews, a lot of them are struggling WHILE developing their game. If winning at life was just as easy as a discipline issue, more people would succeed at it. Your Nike style of marketing is flawed and based on survivorship bias. It borders on bilateral thinking on the spectrum, but I'm nearly not qualified to diagnose anything like that. Just drawing similarities, like you do.
DanGames proved that he can update his game fast. He also proved that in the last three updates, I've seen more small errors happen than the earlier releases combined, like some here are pointing out. I can probably understand you're happy that updates get pushed out so fast, but there's no need to make it a benchmark for other developers, saying they just don't want to. Polarized thinking is dangerous for society, the grey matter is there for a reason. Use it.
