Perhaps it's not the type of harem that fans of this genre like or are looking for. As the developer said, he wants the game to follow a more realistic theme (no offense, but we know that these harems in games are anything but realistic). Whether you agree with this point of view or not, well, that's up to you.
Assuming that the developer wants to make something more realistic (from his point of view), I also don't think this game is suitable for the most ardent harem fans.
But if they are harem fans who don't mind themes that will be optional (apparently), I think it's worth checking out.

In real life, it's impossible for a college student to sleep with over a dozen older women either (and I'm absolutely not doubting the developer's pursuit of realistic plotlines).

This is simply a discussion of the plot and has no intention of offending anyone.

Honestly, these types of games are just making the Harem tag lose its meaning. It's like a developer making an NTR game and tagging it NETORARE to attract an audience that likes that, and then simply making the MC the only one who has relationships with the Lis. So when people ask where the NTR is, or when people say it's a fake NTR game, the developer says, "I'm sorry, but this isn't a classic NETORARE game".

Anyway, I think it's still too early to draw conclusions, the game is still in version 0.01, it's practically just an introduction of the characters.
PS: About the park scene, yes, nothing realistic about it. But I'm not the developer, just a spectator, I'll see where the game's direction takes us.
And yes, discussions like that are valid, about plot, quality, characters... And not an infernal fight about this or that topic. But as I said, it's still too early to assume things.

I'll be honest I don't want to contribute to the debate, but I just want to clarify for my own curiosity on what the Harem/NTR for this game will be. The posts in this thread isn't really clarifying it. Even the dev's Patreon reply isn't fully clarifying it.

- Some women will be love interests meaning they won't be with anyone else besides the MC, that's the Harem stuff?

- There will be women who aren't love interests being with multiple partners (Will happen regardless and you can only skip seeing it and not completely ignore it?) and there will be sharing of love interests (optional and completely by player choice?), that's the "NTR" stuff? No love interest cheating and forced voyeurism?

I thought NTR was cheating of Love Interests, not random woman no.4 having sexual interactions with random man.

I don't have any stake in this VN due to the park scene, that was sub/cuck type shit. So I would've dropped it regardless of the NTR tag being added or not (I downloaded it before the NTR tag was added. I didn't finish v0.1 lol so maybe the story picked up after I dunno). The dev saying they were "conflicted" about adding the scene doesn't give me any confidence in them not adding something similar to that later down the line. I'm also just not a fan of sex scenes being given to people who aren't the MC or the love interests (lesbian), due to it being script and posing/animation time spent on things that aren't related to the MC.

So in conclusion (to me at least):
This is not a Harem focused game, just a game with a harem in it, which means less time allocated to scripting that side. The NTR isn't cheating, it's just women who are not the Love Interest's having sex with others and there will be a lot of that (because "sexfest") and will be skippable not ignorable or avoidable (lack of a better term). The sharing is optional sharing.

Well, I kind of already answered above, I included a screenshot of the developer's text, and gave my opinion. I think any answer, mine or anyone else's, will be vague, because nobody knows for sure what it will be like, and as I also said above, it's still too early to know all this based on a confusing initial version of the game. And as I said in a previous comment, if you're a more enthusiastic fan of normal haram, it might not be a good choice to continue. But it could also be that it's all truly optional. I don't know, only time will tell. Maybe you could consider joining his Discord (the Patreon link works) and asking him personally. I didn't do it because I'm waiting for this content that will be optional (apparently).

It's an entertaining thread for sure. The dev has certainly created quite the opening here. Rarely do demo's or initial releases generate this much buzz. I'm in the same boat I'll stick around and see what happens but I do agree with some that park scene and the lady kissing MC after swallowing some other guys load isn't a big confidence builder from my POV.
