The fix appears to be not working as well, maybe I am putting it in a wrong folder?

I think the main problem is that I can't download your mod fix, if I click on the file it opens a Chrome tab with the file text inside it, so I select it all and create a new file with the same name and extension on my PC, but I think the file opened in Chrome is badly parsed.
However I put it in the right folder following the instructions of your path and when I run the game and the MC sleeps on the bed, it shows these two options, if I click on the second nothing happens, if I click on the first it shows this screen error:

I had the same problem. My fix was to remove the mod files play past that scene then make a new save & quit. Then you can reinstall the mod & everything will work fine.

wow, it has an activation crack? I don't know that
Crashed for me getting out of bed too, but later in the game, just after getting quest to reconcile the sisters.

Try to install "clean" game version and version with mod into different folders, and when you play version with mod and get an error, just save before it and quit modded game, launch "clean" version and load your saved game before bed. It works for me now.
