Well the exceptions you talk about and we probably talk about the same games didnt fail because of models and animations and overall quality of the game, not talking about the writing because they didnt bring anything new to the table, just the same MC being a douche or a knight in a shining armor.
Another thing is that with milfy city like games you have around 6k potential patreon backers based on one profile only.
Since the game also came out on steam and incest like games and overall porn are pretty popular i dont think that it won't get any following or attention.
The quality of renders and animations will put this one above those that failed, the only question is if a couple of devs can cooperate for long enough or there will be some drama and people leaving from the team because of difference in ideas.

Writing is part of the overall quality. There's right now one Badik esque game that actually has it bagged in all points so far, not College Kings which did fell apart already on a developer level.
You don't have 6k potential backers already, because there's no guaranteed way you can reach the very same audience even if you make a 1:1 copy. The reason Milfy and Summertime too could get out to the "mainstream" because of it's advertising as well, not only them being a thing and having a patreon, and of course that they were somewhat ground breaking in their own respective fields when they dropped.

People are going to hype up any game as long as there's content they support, this won't be any different. I've seen the shittiest games rank up 5 star rating because the models have great looks and have nice tits, so knowing this fact I won't be surprised if this becomes the next one.
It's sort of foolish to even compare games to MC and SS considering that they both were game changers.

Yeah, you don't have them at this moment but probably the same people that play or played milfy city check out games from time to time similar to that, because well MF is kinda abandoned.
No other more on the "dumb" side incest games with really quality art out there on the horizon.
Game is also on steam and Decent monkey is in a team so it will get at least some of advertising, because from what i heard Fashion Business is known in russia aswell as MF, it won't get big as MF or other games like that but there's still a part of community that likes these types of games and there might be still money in creating them.
Like you said writing is a part of quality yes, but its funny to me that people complain about the unoriginality of many incest-like games that might just have bad "writing" on purpose, just like random step-incest porn movies..
When some of the games they praise don't have anything original or special either, they just follow the tropes but devs suit them to their own scenarios and have more serious tone of writing, usually without incest in it.
Are these games bad? No, just unoriginal like most of games here but that's not a big problem you can still enjoy them easily or at least parts.
I personally can't play a serious incest like game, because it feels weird so when im looking a game under this tag i just want something simple, not giving much thought about the MC and just see the spicy stuff.
I can count on my two hands the amount of MC's i actually liked and it won't take every finger, even well written games usually have dumb MC's.

Not a fan of sandbox but this is the best interpretation I've ever seen and renders look very good. I see a lot of potential, good luck to the devs.

I'm kind of disappointed to find out this isn't a spin-off of Sunville.
It's a tadbit more complicated than that. They don't necessarily know that MF is half-abandoned, especially if they aren't follow the circles more closely, if they just look at the surface, then they might think something will come out of it, hence why the MF scheme is still ongoing. Being on Steam doesn't mean much when it comes to indie AVNs, it's not the primary source where you'll get them in the majority of the cases. It's a platform of course, but nearly not as big as it is for mainstream games. That second part really is grasping on straws to me especially with the Russia thing, no offense. Because of DM, they can reach the audience of FB sure.
I'm going to specify then. Using the same tropes and executing them in the exact same way as how they are in everywhere else what really makes a cliché a cliché. This happened here. A good example of doing the opposite is Sisterly Lust. It used the very basic incest setup from the get-go, and yet it was able to execute it in a different way ultimately.
Guess then you're playing the wrong games then, because even though the easiest and laziest way to write a main character is to be dumb as brick, often developers decide to go another way, there's many examples of it. One of them is what you mentioned in an earlier post as well. Gems do exist, but you have to get through many shit in order to find them, doesn't mean you should stop searching though.

Pretty much agree with this. I felt like I have no control over the mc, normally in games you would get a chance to steer your character into being a good or bad guy, I mean they had the whole rat and bunny explanation in the beginning which didn't seem to matter? You're just shoved into the spoiled douchebag role and you're just picking scenes to go to. Also pushed into lusting over the older sister (but maybe some people wouldn't be into a pierced up angelina jolie? didn't care for the voyeur scene in the beginning either). And for a game with Milfs in the name, the only one I want so far is Sophie and not even sure she would be available due to tags not listed.
But solid renders and UI to start, will wait to see where this goes.

If the "big sis" is going to be a "love interest" , the NTR tag should be added swiftly. Literally first scene surprised me real quick dafuq.

game is good, but holy hell dev. I can accept the "Input a Name" mechanic on save files, but moving my mouse to the middle of the screen every time I go to save is starting to really piss me off.
