Inc patch is installed. Tried to install the WT mod, but that shoots the whole game down.

I have nothing to do with the development of this game and don't know why you have “old” displayed instead of “bold”, but in the original game file there is no error in that word as I showed above. My assumption was based on the fact that this file is changed in some patches (like incest patch).

My best guess is, delete the game folder, then reinstall the game. Your saves should be okay in the permanent ren'py folder.

Video enhancement mod​

This mod overwrites the native (25/30) fps animations of the game with interpolated 60 fps animations.

how ? Thanks to deep-learning processes, trained predictive models can interpolate one "fake" frame next to each native frames.

The result gives a smooth effect on each animations.
