I kinda wish they'd have squashed out all the existing bugs in the first game before moving on to the second. It isn't a great track record to have, especially for how it looks to potential supporters who spend their money thoughtfully and with intent. It begs the question of whether or not the sequel is going to suffer the same fate, and if other future projects will as well. And if it does happen twice that would make it a repeat offense and then yeah, you'd be crazy to put any money into their projects expecting them to be perfected and polished as much as they possibly can be. Making a video game isn't as easy as flipping a burger or taking someone's order at the Krusty Krab, I get that. But at least do all you can, and when that isn't enough, ask for help, I'm sure there are many who'd be willing to help out, as long as the fee/pay is reasonable on both sides. Like now isn't the time to be stingy, but also don't ask for a million bucks lol.. Like let your PAYING supporters, and players/fans in general know that there are bugs you're unable to fix on your own or with your current team/resources/time...
If they prematurely halt development on this game completely, that sucks. And it heavily deteriorates any replay value for people who enjoy going back to these games for whatever reason they have. I pretty much am a one and done, maybe I'll try to find the important scenes later on, or save them myself by like recording or something. But still. I think it's fairly important to make something more evergreen. Not that it isn't worth playing if it isn't. But when 90% or more of people are complaining about THE SAME BUGS and all these issues they're having, I think it's about time to make an announcement you're going to fix them, or at least work your butt off to release a patch thru a "shadowdrop". Not to announce you're working on another game.... Some bugs/glitches are okay. They can be fun even, and show imperfection without ruining an experience, and be cool to play around with. Look at red, blue, yellow, etc etc. of a certain game series. But when it's something like this, and it forces looping of the same mission and changes THE ENTIRE WORLD like some sort of rewind, ignoring progression you've made, locks you into it and can even prevent you from progressing further due to a various number of circumstances, that's when they need to buckle down, man up, take their game to the shop and start repairs.
I also wouldn't want them adding any new content to this game, if they are planning to at all? Idk I haven't finished it quite yet, and yeah the bugs definitely had something to do with that. Not until these kinks are worked out. No pun intended.
Someone tell me I'm wrong, lol.
