I am sure the artist contributed to this cancellation, but the story took several turns where people did not agree with and they tried to "bring it back to normal" but they wrote themselves into a corner.

Since this is abandoned. Is it legal to remake the game in renpy?

Not a 1 to 1 remake but also rewriting parts of the story that had criticism as well, like an actual bareback and impregnation scene with Linda not just some off scene condom break cop out.

And probably also removing the pointless grind in the early parts.

If it's alright to use all the assets and make it into a different game then I'd be down to try tbh.
