I like how the dev is blatantly ignoring all the posts talking about their history and instead is overcompensating by answering all other things on thread.
lol dude, you wouldnt have this problem if you were a competent developer who actually finished a project instead of scamming and leaving projects abandoned. Pretending to be active now isnt going to change your past history.
Abandoned older projects are always a valid complaint. But maybe let's have a closer look.
Assuming this is the real "Milftoon", then this is originally not an artist or game dev, but someone who has been publishing pornographic adult comics by various artists for... well, who knows. Probably longer than the age of some of the forum users here. This used to be one of the top 3 or so brands in adult comics.
And if you clicked on this game, instead of the myriad other daily DAZ or Realporn or HoneySelect shovelware game updates, then you probably already knew what you're looking at. Either by the game/dev name or the artwork on the thumbnail. Because most likely you have already seen the comics somewhere in the past (for free?). And i'd assume you also played all the abandoned games you complain about.
Games by Milftoon:
1. Some really old RPGM games with monochrome artwork... who cares? IIRc one of them was actually "almost" completed, but they weren't very fun to play anyways.
2. Milftoon Drama - apparently the artist (Inusen) quit the cooperation with Milftoon during ongoing development. And if you followed his own games and interaction with his players, you can assume that this quitting was more likely the fault of Inusen himself (he just appears like the most intolerable and incompetent person on his Patreon).
3. Milftoon Grounded - probably the same issue as #2, though i don't know as much about that. Only that there haven't been any Milftoon comics in a while now. And the artist from that game that hadn't been around that long.
4. This game - Apparently by a very old Milftoon-contracted artist, whom many consider to be the best due to the unique drawing style and content. It is obviously being developed right now, it gets about an update per month, it doesn't have annoying grind or a million bugs or crashes.
Another thing i'm seeing, how different the cartoon production / publishing is compared to making actual games. There's actually quite a few 2D artists who made their own game. Well, without realizing that cartoons and games have a very different audience.
Where the cartoon fans are usually fine with the pure voyeur perspective - just think of JabComix where people randomly have sex everywhere without apparent context - gamers have a much different attitude toward protagonist and interaction. In particular with all the different camps, like pro-NTR, anti-NTR and such.
And that it isn't enough to just make a kinetic novel with your cartoon images queued and some text below it.
In that aspect, i believe that at least Milftoon Drama, albeit unfinished for explained reasons, has been a fairly successful game in its own right. And i believe this one is better, even though it could use some actual player agency, story decisions, and properly interactive sex scenes.
