Nah, I mean, yes it's been a year since the last update - but I've already resumed work and have shared elsewhere the next update comes out next month, in July.
As to why it took so long, well, I made the decision to remake my other game Her Heart's Desire, which is about done (still working through the bug fixes for the localization at the moment).
