Because it was written in the story that they were mother and daughter, which patreon didn't like so they deleted the story line.
It's really sad. To put a game online and then cancel it knowing that there are many players waiting for it to end.
If a person did make a remake with the same models and story then icstor and his team can send you a cease and desist. its still his intellectual property.

The game clearly has A LOT of removed/unfinished content. Considering this game was abandoned at some point, I'm sure they just wanted to finish it somehow and as quick as possible to not having to deal with it anymore.
Besides, there's a DLC on the way, so they need to keep something to sell it later.

I don't think there will be DLC it's been 1 Year since he published teasers of DLC after that he disappeared again.
What about story I agree they removed them because they would take more time to finished and ones that left are rushed to the end
