Is there anything to do with the disabled APC ? It seems to have a broken right front axle where the right front wheel hit a rock. I wasted entirely too much time trying to jump onto the top of it to see if there was an openable hatch up there.
I tried this with my work PC (I work at night and alone), and god was it a slog fest on the lowest settings. Granted the work PC is a 5+ year old Intel I5 with no dedicated GPU and 8 Gb RAM. I'll try it again when I get home (Ryzen 5-2700x, RX 590, 16Gb).
EDIT: It seems the only way I can play this game is to end the UnityCrashHandler64.exe, I have never had any Unity program do this on my hardware. Once the that program is ended, the game runs fine.
Until the quest is completed, the information about it will be in the menu. If the quest has a continuation, then information about it is also updated (each step can be seen in the hints). To quest information disappeared from the menu you need to complete the quest. (quest completion almost always implies a final dialogue with someone)
The game passed to the end and there are no bugs with the menu and other things. Everything works as intended by the author...
I'm guessing this is what I need to gather the metal needed for the pillory? If so, I'm at the crashed spacecraft, but I don't see anything obvious to interact with.

To avoid questions where what to find you need to complete the task of the game - the study of the territory. If you go around 30% of the island instead of 100%, then you can endlessly ask where things are. You can always track your location on the map by clicking "tab"
