Well, I'd say, that’s a questionable indicator - he’s got plenty of supportive posts too. I do agree about starting fresh, though.

At this point the best move (just my humble opinion) would be to wipe the slate clean: drop everything, build a new brand, start a completely fresh project (no "Tides", smth medieval but definitely not pirate-themed), and just distance himself from all the previous mess - deny any connection whenever someone brings this up (and people surely will).
Feels like deja vu at this point.

I missed part of the whole drama, I liked (not loved), Tides of Succession, just made one of my usual (sad) posts there, but it's the approach he has to the whole thing that's wrong.

Why setting up unrealistic deadlines for yourself to begin with? Even further why publicize them to your "investors" if you know you'll want to "take a break" at the very beginning?
That's not taking into consideration what I wrote there, you don't take a break right after starting a new career/project, you do it before, or way later down the line.

It was never really about deadlines, nobody was criticising him for that. If anything, Tak has always been consistent and hardworking developer. The real issue is his mindset and his ability to commit to a project.

When he'll start working on ToT, he’ll be doing it with 3 abandoned projects behind, and that’s what makes me question what his actual long–term plan is. I just can’t imagine he genuinely believes new supporters will jump in when this pattern keeps repeating. And it feels especially strange given Tak's statements about wanting to make AVNs his full-time career.

It's a compounding issue generated by the same base behaviour, lack of commitment.

1. I know I can produce "X" renders in "Y" time when I treat this as a side gig.
2. I drop my current project (not for the 1st time).
3. I decide to go full-time, so I announce I'll be able to produce "X+some" renders in "Y-some" time.
4. I plan a full month off, after "Y-some" time.
5. I fail to hit the very first deadline.

Setting a deadline (and making it public at that) is a commitment, missing that very first deadline (while planning holidays) is yet an other sign of lack of commitment.

It's actually a worse indicator for it, because creatives can change their mind on what they really want to create mid-way or at the beginning of something (never a great sign but eh), but a deadline is not a creative issue, it's a planning one, if you can't plan properly going "solo" will never work out, no matter how talented of a creative you are.

Unless of course you are at a stage in your career where you are allowed/can afford to have multiple projects running at the same time, and so completely failing at a given deadline is not the end of the world because you can hit deadlines on the other projects (famous example: George R. R. Martin).

It's a different premise, but it is a very similar style and a lot less branching. The story is kinetic, but which one of the girls you romance is up to you. But you can see that Patience is very similar to Glade, and Marion is quite like Elva. TBH, his style of writing fits very well in this time period and the genre. While it felt a bit formal in a college setting, it feels right at home here (like ToS).

As a man you can't have Aisha as an LI thou. She is one of my fav, and I'm usually not into trans women.
But happy I tried it (as well as https://f95zone.to/threads/swm-the-lurking-shadow-v2-0-mortze.46344/), renders are good and the story is good too, albeit not "Ohmygod you write 10k times better than Lovecraft" level of writing, as some folk was proclaiming in the thread.
And this comes from someone who loves Lovecraft, but is fully aware of how basic his writing skills were.

Yup, Toro 7 is good, a game that does everything well. Steph was my primary pick.
I also think it's the best straight woman experience out there, despite it being just one of the options. It's so refreshing to start out as single and romance nice guys unlike what all those corruption games do…
I've played some of their other games, but the Elsaverse series were not to my liking, way too linear. I did like Life Changes for Keeley though, a nice little melodrama.

im on the fence if I even want to try that star wars one. One hand I love star wars but on the other it would feel weird playing a parody or something I love. I really only touch a parody if it's a series I don't care about or no next to nothing about.

I only started it yesterday (after finishing Toro 7), I love Star Wars, or well I used to love it, I'm one of the older fans who was already not too happy about Episode 1-2-3, so imagine about the newer ones.

That said for what I can tell is not really a parody, as in it doesn't make fun of the lore, it's to be taken more like a longer episode of Star Wars Visions?

Which is to be honest some of the best SW content I consumed in the past decades, side content that shares the universe, but tells relatively autonomous stories.

The issue I have is that for what I can understand this is a side (VERY side) project for Mortze, so we have 2 episodes out of possibly 3, in like 5-6 years?

I've played some of their other games, but the Elsaverse series were not to my liking, way too linear. I did like Life Changes for Keeley though, a nice little melodrama.

Haven't tried that one, but I too lowkey bounced off the Elsaverse, played a couple but never bother to finish the whole saga, don't ask me why, just didn't feel like it.

They’ve completely screwed up the whole universe with new episodes, and the saddest part is - those episodes ended up being the most profitable for studios. Which makes sense, considering how long the fanbase'd been waiting for a continuation… but damn, it’s still hurts. Nostalgia sells better than logic, I guess.

Funny to think I once considered Episodes 1–3 bad back then.

As for SWe1: The Warrior's Heart - I enjoyed it, and Mortze released a Sequel - The Lurking Shadow, not that long ago.

Now that Ricthequick mentioned this game, I noticed Reina is listed as non-lewdable, - but she actually is, for both male and female MCs. On the monk route you get to know her much closer and learn her backstory in detail. It’s totally worth it and her scene is very sweet. Personally I consider her my canon LI in this game, all things considered.

Really? I remember chatting with her and learning her backstory, I also remember her being naked nearly every time we talked, but I don't think I ever got anywhere with her (and I even talked with Tlaero to get all the paths, when there was one I missed). Guess there was another one too.

Yep you have to complately refrain from having sex with any other possible LI to unlock hers, no idea if it was added later on, but it's in the game now.

I def like Mortze's renders, might not be the flashiest, but have a certain unique style to them, also the LIs, recongizable models sure, none is the usual "plastic doll" top model thou with perfect nose, tits, eyes, but they are still all relatively attractive (even the Twi'lek in SWM who at the beggining I was afraid would freak me out lol).

EDIT: because today despite EN being one of my 2 native languages I really can't... sigh I fare even worse with the other of course... Italian.

You probably just didn’t gather enough RP, happened to me as well. On my 1st playthrough (with WT off), I picked a couple of wrong options and missed her scene. Apparently Reina likes it when you’re more dominant and rude to her.
