False alert from a known bad antivirus. Never check a file when it's compressed, this is the best way to have false alert.
Trust the file and unzip it and see by yourself there is nothing in it
Easier said than done with Microsoft's anti-virus. It automatically scans your download folders when you open them. And it promptly undoes any changes you make to reduce its interference. Microsoft is such a pain in the neck sometimes. I'm very tempted to go back to Linux now that I'm not playing so many games that depended on Dozywin to run.

No, it's easy. Just install Avira for example and it will deactivate the Microsoft antivirus. Stay with the free version, the paid add more software totally useless and does not provide any better protection.

For those interested, Lemonkey is thinking it might be June when we see the next release, as he also has a job during the week he can only do so much on weekends.
By the way, I do not know if Lemonkey works on his own or has a small team working with him on this.
Any exactly or estimated day of June, friend??

perfection is ALWAYS standing there in the corner of the room, with a grin on its face and a bloody knife in its hands when good is murdered.

No, no date in particular mentioned. As in my post, "it might be June", so there is a possibility of even longer before an update.
If a day job during the week affect him this much, he will probably never have childrens and I.m saying this because after have them , you realise how muuuuuuuch time we had before and complained without a reason.

FWIW,
Also, "anti-virus" software (on any OS, including macOS, Linux, Windows, Haiku and the BSDs...) usually causes more problems than it solves. Just don't use any. Keep your software up-to-date and enjoy the higher performance with no less security.

Admist deep slumber, that frothing unease on the surface...

Apologies again for the slow month, it's been very gratifying to work on these last bit of renders, squeezing out what last mote of quality I can within each one.
I'm quite excited to share the end result, one of my better written chapters (or I would like to think!)
Though now at the final weeks of June, I find myself still just barely out of reach of the final renders. It's not my pc's speed - I'm just picky.

24 June 2024.jpg

My initial thoughts were, "If I just stick to this schedule and do a small bit every single day, I should be able to finish on time."

spoiler: I did not do a small bit everyday.

In fact it was a maddening push to even do a bit every couple days - I should have known. But, progress is progress, and every step forward is another towards our finals.

I'll need a bit more time.

I also have some personal news for you all, but I'll reserve that for until this update is shipped! (remind me!)
