All that tag does is let you know the dev is lazy
That's a pretty big assumption, given you almost never know what's actually going on in a dev's real life. Sure, there are some — many, almost certainly — who are, in fact, lazy. But there could be some who are giving up because they're burned out. There are some who have real-life issues that require them to step away from their projects. Hell, there are even some, sadly, who just die. I wouldn't be so quick to assume laziness.
think hard before you support one who has the tag here on
That is true, at least. Not sure it's really redeems the first half of your post, though. :cautious:

Then what do you call when a dev goes months without saying anything it takes a min to type something down

Forgetful, possibly because of RL being incredibly busy? Bad at communication? Embarrassed because of how long the work has taken, so loathing to give an update? None of those is laziness. You can assume whatever you want, and it might even be true with this dev. But making a blanket statement like you did is incredibly overly simplistic and dismissive. One might say your conclusion is... lazy. ;)

"Dev" means "developer" which is defined as "person who writes code". The opposite of a "dev" is a "PR" which is defined as "a person who won't shut the hell up about an area in which that person has exactly 0 knowledge". Example: Some "game devs" here who talk a lot and don't release anything are actually "PRs".

So I call a dev who shuts up and writes code "a dev".

Hope that helps!
