They claim to have wrote her to be gay in Mystery Incorporated, a show that literally ended on a universe reboot, but they never actually come out and do anything with it, and in the movies she's only ever shown to be into men. Currently Velma is a blob of nothing, as the only Scooby Doo characters who show any interest in romance are Daphne and Scoob.so officially Velma is gay now, will that affect the game in any shape or form?

She was extremely aggressive in trying to get in Shaggy's pants in Mystery Incorporated, so I actually doubt that they intended for her to be gay.

As for Velma being gay, I think Mystery Incorporated is more canon then then 2002 movie. And in MI, she is VERY clearly bi. (Also, the show writers addressed the whole "Freddy is gay" thing as well. He likes Daphne, but he loves traps.)

This is *very* important: Is yours a personal opinion? Or is it a legal opion, judicial opinion, or legal precedent?
There are easier lawsuits they would more likely go after before this one. Another question is whether they would want the PR associated with going after a crowd funded porn parody, dev is not exactly making bank.
Even so, they'd most likely end up getting their way by either bankrupting or scaring the dev, rather than winning an actual court case. While character likeness is intellectual property, it should be relatively easy to defend it as fair use.
It's definitely worth playing. There's a decent amount of content, and the art is cool.
