Does it happen on every map or only in some places? If everywhere, try moving the game folder to a different drive or run the game as admin - it might have permission issues with writing saves in it's current location.
Believe it or not I just figured a way to get it to work. I took a save that was posted in here and created a save folder and put that in it and I was able to save now. Thanks for trying to help though

The most important instruction: Patch the game with the latest fixes/changes by running GameUpdate in the game folder or by manually patching.

Creating a "Save" folder in the main directory worked for me too. Thanks
I figured it out.... You just need to clear runtime packages in joiplay settings then download rpg maker vx ace rtp again
