Chinese stuff with arrests of porn makers, animations included. Some creators had to clear their stuff from iwara, etc and stopped making content. Some of them recovered, like SRYB or ForgetSkyrim, but some did not
This is hardly a new law. Porn has always been in a sort of legal gray-area. A more recent problem is people taking and re-uploading their content on other sites. Their government doesn't really care all that much if you make porn, they'll usually just ignore you but they do care if you sell it, so assholes figured out that they could get creators in trouble by taking the content and selling it on other sites while pretending to be the creator.

Awhile back on another board I had a back & forth with some fef that got butthurt because I was surprised that there is apparently a market for Japanese NTR content in Socialist China. I was under the impression that such things, especially Japanese in origin, were illegal and doubly so now that the CCP is trying to raise the fertility rate. The guy 'REEEE''d and more or less spazzed out without making cogent points. He was wrong but now he's extra-wrong considering the CCP is cracking down even harder on anything they believe might hurt their fertility rate.
- FUN FACT: Banning anime, porn & video games (The cuck 'wet dream' trifecta) will not raise a nation's fertility rate in a meaningful way. Why? easy. One guy can impregnate hundreds of women. Thus, the bottle-neck is not men. The problem is the women. Obviously. The socialists are wrong, as always.

Huh.. i thought the fertility rate was caused by their one child policy that backfired because every family want to continue their own line and traditionally speaking, in accordance to chinese custom, it has to be through the male line.. which caused every family to have 1 son each and now it's a huge sausage party with productive aging population deadline there
