So it turns out that the chinese uncensor patch does not uncensor the game. The Steam version of the game that was published by Hikari field strips out all 18+ content from the original monobeno happy end version and even censors some images. The uncensor patch for the steam version restores that 18+ content that was originally present in the Japanese-only version. It only restores it to the chinese half of the game.

Instead of using the hikari field published monobeno that has both chinese and japanese as a base, it makes more sense to use the original Japanese-only version published by Lose which does not have any of Hikari Field censorship to begin with. After comparing all of the different versions, that is the version I am working with.

Ah I see, glad to finally know what's what...unfortunate that it doesn't uncensor the game at all.
I had a feeling this was the case as last year, I downloaded a copy of the Maitestsu Last Run game released by Hikari Field to see if it's uncensored or not and found out it was still censored...

So knowing that Monobeno Happy End is the same is nice to know sadly.

...Hmm...though now that I think about it...the game uses E-mote for many of the H-scenes no?
Besides the CG scenes, I think it's possible to remove the censorship of the privates through modifying the E-mote files...though I don't know if the censorship is baked in or just overlaying the sprites themselves.

I presume this based on testing an H-scene in Maitetsu Last Run by Hikari Field...
