Apparently, it is way easier to use than Ren'py. He is not a coding expert, so a lot of things that he wants implemented will take too much time to create (if he can even manage it, since he began to run into some code errors in the process) in Ren'py. In RPGM, these things already have a basic system built in (for combat, NPCs schedules, mini-games...). So quicker updates, hopefully.What, why?
