Mostly because it never got finished and got far too hyped up by the artist and their fans. Sadly after the initial hype, nothing came of it, and even the comic got discontinued.

As the creator himself says (on Discord), "this project is on hiatus". He kind of promised to "come back to it when things will get better". But, yeah, as far as we can understand, this game is currently abandoned. Which is a shame, really. Maybe the creator will return to it one day, but that's a big "maybe".
